So excited to announce that Dr. McKenzie Sheets has earned her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee!

For her dissertation, Kenzie developed a novel and very clever new way to measure auditory working memory—a critical skill that supports learning and language. Her work opens exciting new possibilities for understanding how memory develops during infancy.

We’re grateful for Kenzie’s many contributions to the Infant Visual Cognition Lab, from her creative problem-solving to the positivity she brought to lab every day. ☺️

This fall, she’ll begin the next chapter of her career as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Brevard College. Congratulations, Dr. Sheets! We couldn’t be happier for you, and we can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish.
