I’m excited to share that I’ll be at the Knoxville Book Festival 2026 on May 2–3, 2026!

Come see me at the Knoxville Convention Center where I’ll be talking about *Finding Perfect Chaos in Your Classroom*, connecting with fellow educators and readers, and sharing a sneak peek of my upcoming devotional, *Finding Perfect Chaos in Your Life*.

If you’ve ever felt like teaching (or life) is a little messy… you’re in the right place. That’s where the growth happens.

Stop by, say hello, and grab a little encouragement to take with you.

Coming back to posting with intention.

I stepped back for a bit to recalibrate, and honestly, it reminded me how much educators need space to breathe in this always-on digital world.

So this month I’m focusing on digital wellness, sustainable teaching, and finding positivity in the chaos.

Not because the work is easy.
Because it’s worth protecting ourselves so we can keep doing it well.

If you’re feeling stretched thin, you’re not alone. Let’s talk about it.

With all of the focus on what to do with next week's classes happening all over the south because of this snowpocalypse that is supposed to hit this weekend, I want to remind everyone that when you are making decisions, think about digital equity.

Is this storm going to take down power lines and disrupt internet capabilities? How will you handle this if you are telling your students that we will just be online instead of in person?

Even if power lines and internet are untouched, do all of your students have the capability to be streaming classes? Do you need to do videos that they can do as they are able?

Don't just "prep everyone for online coursework" without taking into account the strengths and weaknesses that your students (and faculty) may face in accessing that online system.
