Jackson Sharp Cello

Despite my social media hiatus, I’ve been busy this semester! A senior recital, some awesome new musical works with , a comic con with , my acting debut as a cellist extra, weddings on top of weddings, getting to play for , more weddings, symphony concerts including one with , playing Peter Pan with some cool folks, tons of teaching, and a choir concert this weekend. Oh, and another wedding. Did I mention it’s wedding season?

Thankful for all these amazing opportunities and for getting to do what I love every day. More cool stuff in the works!

A full day of cello is making my heart full today. My students, along with the students of , put on a stellar recital today showcasing the growth and hard work of this semester. I also got to hear some awesome music at the Joy of Music spring recital where my student Gweneth performed so beautifully. Getting to celebrate so much success and hard work is inspiring to me both as a teacher and player. I can’t wait to see what next semester brings!

2025 has been an incredible year for me! Check out what I’ve been up to as a part-time musician and a full-time student. Life is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for all the support in 2025 and I can’t wait for 2026!

My students played a wonderful winter recital. Thank you to New Life Church of the Nazarene for hosting us. This semester has been filled with so much fun and growth and I can’t wait to continue to grow with these students!

I hope you’ll join me and the UT cello studio for an awesome marathon of some of the greatest cello literature of all time! I’ll be closing the program with the 2nd movement of Dvorak Cello Concerto.

Lovely wedding with at yesterday! The fall colors were amazing.

Yesterday, we got the privelege of playing for the Bowlings’s wedding at Nichols Heir. Congratulations to the lovely couple and thanks for having us play for your beautiful day. It’s always a fun day to get to play some ABBA!

When you do weddings, you hope to never have a repeat client, but I was thrilled to get to play solo cello for Robert and Emily’s wedding after playing for their engagement earlier this year! Congratulations!
