Great afternoon at the Knoxville Smokies game with 40+ members of the East Tennessee A&M community! We couldn’t have asked for better timing, with a break in the weather just in time for first pitch. Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy good baseball and great Aggie fellowship. Gig ’em and swing batta batta!! 👍⚾🧢

It is with great sadness that the club shares the news of the passing of our fellow East TN Aggie, Bruce M. Kennedy '47, on July 2, 2026, at the age of 99. Many of us had the opportunity to celebrate Bruce at Muster this past April, where we recognized him in anticipation of his 100th birthday this September. We are grateful for the opportunity we had to honor his life and enduring connection to Knoxville and Texas A&M while he and his daughter were with us.

Bruce represented the Aggie Spirit well for nearly a century, and he will be deeply missed. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

Howdy! Our group sales rep gave me the final deadline today - I need to give him a headcount on Monday, the 6th, first thing. So last call - please get ticket RSVP and payments in by Sunday, July 5th, so I can wrap up our details and then send out game info to all who are coming. Right now we have 40 folks coming, and it will surely be a great time! -Steve '09

Howdy, Ags,

It's exciting that 29 people have already RSVP'd for our Knoxville Smokies outing on July 12!

Several folks asked if we could extend the RSVP deadline, and after checking with the Smokies, we can keep registration open a little longer. The picnic area does have an overall capacity limit, so registration will remain open until the Smokies tell us we're full.

If you haven't signed up yet, take a look at the event page and consider joining us. The Smokies always put on a great game, and the Aggie company is even better.

Friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and future Aggies are all welcome. If you know someone who would enjoy an afternoon at the ballpark, feel free to invite them along. Whether you're buying their ticket or they're buying their own is a conversation I'll leave to you! 😂

We have confirmed details for the game on July 12 at 2pm! After working with the Smokies on group pricing, we’ve finalized the cost at $35 per person for the ticket, buffet, and the included drinks (see our website for food and drink details)! Details and the RSVP are available on the club website:

Please RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than June 12, so we can confirm a soft headcount with the Smokies soon, and again, if baseball isn’t your thing, no worries. We have more club events planned later this summer, so stay tuned!

Looks like we’re going to have a great turnout for the East TN Aggie Club Smokies outing on July 12th! We’ve had strong interest so far and are working through final group details with the Smokies now.
