Take the pictures.
I am on several free photo editing FB pages. Time and time again I see people ask for a photo to be edited because it's faded, blurry, etc. More often than not, these requests also include the statement "This is the only picture we have of them."
These are not photos from the 1800s, but of people who have recently passed away, both young and old. AI is often used to adjust these photos and distorts the faces much of the time.
Years from now, when you are gone, your family will not care if you were large, small, smiling, or making a silly face. They will just be glad to have multiple pictures of you, because you chose to let them take the photo.
(Picture of me on my friend and mentor's grave. I wanted to make sure I documented this moment because I never had the opportunity to take a photo of us before she passed away. We only met once in person and the rest of our relationship was via the phone, texting, and emailing.)
