Let’s hear from Ashlyn Wright and her experience as Phi Mu!!

“Hi! My name is Ashlyn Wright, and I am a rising senior in PC ’23. Phi Mu quickly became my home away from home, and this sisterhood has been my biggest college blessing. As cliché as it sounds, I have truly met my lifelong best friends here.

From countless date parties, two Sisterhood Showcases, intramurals, birthdays and celebrations, formals, spring break trips, game days, and everything in between, these girls have been by my side every step of the way. My Pham and sisters push me academically, physically, and emotionally to be the best woman I can be each and every day.

I thank God for these girls and this sisterhood daily. If I could go back, I wouldn’t change a single thing.

EXEC SPOTLIGHT 🦋🌸✨

“Hi everyone! My name is Isabelle Wallen and I am the social chairwoman for Phi Mu this year! Being a Phi Mu overall has given me such a genuine sense of belonging, and a group of women who constantly support and inspire me in everything I do. The friendships I’ve already built mean so much to me, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of a sisterhood that is so uplifting and loving. Serving as social chair this year has been such a special experience, as I’ve had the opportunity to plan events that create so many lasting memories! Even in just one semester, this role has helped me grow in confidence and leadership, and has made me fall even more in love with our chapter. I’m excited to continue to grow in the fall, build more lifelong friendships, and work with exec to continue making our chapter as special as it is. LIOB🩷🩷”

Isabelle brings so much energy and heart to our chapter! We’re so grateful for all the hard work she puts into making Phi Mu such a fun and welcoming place, and we’re lucky to have her on Exec!! 💖

Let’s hear from Estella Rizzo and her experience as Phi Mu!!

“Hii! My name is Estella Rizzo and l am a part of PC
‘25. To say that Phi Mu gave me my best friends is truly an understatement. Before classes even started, I had an amazing group of friends and have made the most special memories with them since then. From bid day to today, I’ve been surrounded by the most loving, uplifting, and supportive girls that I now can’t imagine living without. Whether it’s a trip to Florida, a sleepover, or just getting ready together, it feels like I have not only best friends but true sisters!! I believe in the saying “you are who you surround yourself with”, and I would be lucky to be half the person these girls are. I’m so excited to grow as a person while being apart of this chapter and feel so lucky to have 3 more perfect years ahead of me!!”

SISTER SPOTLIGHT🩵✈️

This week we’re highlighting Chappell and her incredible experience in Kenya through the UT College of Nursing’s Clinical Immersion Program! 🧡🇰🇪

“Hiii y’all! My name is Chappell Mayes and I am in PC ’23 and a rising senior in the TBSN program at the College of Nursing! Over the past two weeks, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Kenya on a clinical immersion trip! During this trip, we experienced healthcare through a global lens by working alongside nurses in local hospitals, helping provide a free health clinic for residents, and getting certified in neonatal care! We also traveled Masai Mara where we could learn about the Masai people and see the animals that live there, including being arms distance away from a lion!!

While every moment on this trip was amazing, some of my favorite memories were helping deliver a baby for the first time, teaching children in the pediatric ward tic-tac-toe, and and building forever friendships with our partner school, WAKA Continuing Medical Education Center’s students! This experience taught me the value of stepping outside of my comfort zone and embracing every new opportunity, even if you are nervous! I left Kenya with a fuller heart, lifelong memories, and a new perspective on healthcare, culture, and service. I am forever thankful for this experience and the chance to represent UT and our sisterhood across the world! Go Vols & Go Greek!“

EXEC SPOTLIGHT 💖🌈😇

“Hiii! My name is Isabella and I’m currently serving as Phi Mu’s Scholarship Chair! I’m from Columbus, Ohio and I’m majoring in Supply Chain Management with a collateral in International Business! Outside of Phi Mu, I serve on the Social Media Team of the UTK Club Tennis Team!!

I’m so grateful for all the amazing friends I’ve made within Phi Mu. As an out-of-state student, I wanted to find friends who reminded me of my own sister, and Phi Mu has given me that and so much more. I’ve found a community of women who constantly support, encourage, and inspire me. Without them, I never would’ve even run for this position. I’ve also loved serving alongside such an incredible Executive Committee and being surrounded by driven, passionate women who inspire me every day.

I’m so lucky to have a home away from home within Phi Mu, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of my term will bring! LIOB🩷”

Isabella brings so much heart, dedication, and positivity to Phi Mu. 💖 We are so grateful for her leadership as Scholarship Chair and all she does for our chapter! ✨

Let’s hear from Ella Fitterer and her experience as Phi Mu!!

Hi! My name is Ella Fitterer and I am a part of PC 24’. When I look back on my college experience so far, the people who have made the biggest impact on me are the girls I’ve met through Phi Mu. This chapter has brought me friendships that feel so genuine and effortless, and that’s something I never take for granted. The girls here are the type of people who remember the little things, check on you when you’re stressed, celebrate your accomplishments like they’re their own, and somehow make even the most ordinary days fun.

I think what makes Phi Mu so special to me is how supported I’ve always felt here. I never felt like I had to change who I was to fit in, and I’ve always felt surrounded by girls who truly want the best for each other. Whether it’s walking to class together, late-night conversations, getting ready for game days, or even just laughing over the smallest things, these friendships have become such an important part of my life.

Phi Mu gave me the kind of friendships that make a big school feel smaller and a stressful week feel lighter. This chapter is filled with girls who are kind, thoughtful, encouraging, and genuine in a way that’s hard to explain until you experience it yourself. Going Phi Mu was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m forever grateful for the people who made this chapter feel like home.
