We want to share some incredible work in the community that our (former) Community Service Chair Charity Glover headed alongside the Volunteer Ministry Center. There were around 200 items donated as part of this Women’s Hygiene Drive, a truly tremendous effort! Looking forward to more ways for BLSA to serve in the greater Knoxville community🧡

⚖️The University of Tennessee Winston BLSA Chapter has had a wonderful Black History Month! From our captivating speaker, Dr. Winford, talking about our history of black entrepreneurship, to Ms. Getter-Everhart, taking us into the future and sharing her story as a young entrepreneur.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day early, with Professors Brooklyn and Lamont Belk sharing their stories with candor about how they’ve become a dynamic attorney couple.

Lastly, several members of BLSA found success at the Motley Mock Trial Competition and others at the 1L advocacy competition, making it to the championship round! We are excited for what’s to come next month🧡

🎉The Marilyn Yarbrough BLSA Chapter is grateful for an amazing 2025! Throughout the year we gathered together with our annual Welcome Back event, social events, and Friendsgiving.

Our members have diligently served the Knoxville community through Winston Law’s Legal Clinic, serving as Practicing Student Attorneys.

We have also had one of our very own, Jaleigh Rogan and her teammates, win the regional championship of the National Moot Court Competition.

As we look forward to 2026, the Marilyn Yarbrough Chapter is grateful for all the support and look forward to what the new year will bring.

Last week, BLSA hosted Girls’ Night! 🎨 Hosted by 2L Representative and Community Service Chair, Charity Glover, the women of BLSA enjoyed an evening of painting, good food, and conversation. It was a great opportunity to relax, connect, and spend time together outside of the law school.
