Just letting you know that if you’ve been away from playing your dulcimer but would like to get back into it, the Novice course is an excellent way to do that.

Appalachian Dulcimer, Novice - Pellissippi State Community College Join instructor Rudy Ryan for this novice Appalachian Dulcimer class. Continue to build your foundation of chords and melodies by learning more advanced techniques, tones, tunings, timing and playing with capos.

A few of us will be Playing on the Porch live at 10:00 on Saturday morning from the Museum of Appalachia.

Pellissippi State College Dulcimer courses beginning in mid September are Novice at Hardin Valley and Novice 2 at Blount County.

Here I am playing at the Museum of Appalachia this morning. It’s always a good day when I can play out there.

A part of our regular Monday group will play on the porch at the MOA’s Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 27 since that is the international day of Playing on the Porch.

Looking for Appalachian dulcimer players of any level in the Cookeville, TN area. I have a private student who plays at the novice level who would like to have other dulcimer players/students to play with.
