Ever wonder how children "decode" new words? It’s all about Phonics! 🧩📚
Phonics is the relationship between letters and the sounds they make. Instead of just memorizing a word's shape, kids learn to "sound it out" (like b-a-t = bat).
Why it’s so important:
✅ Foundation: It gives kids a toolkit to read words they’ve never seen before.
✅ Spelling: Knowing sounds helps them become better writers.
✅ Independence: It moves kids from memorizing to truly understanding language!
Mastering phonics is like giving a child the "key" to unlock every book on the shelf. 🔑📖

Ever wonder why we say "Uppercase" and "Lowercase"? It’s actually a 300-year-old "shelf life" story! Back when books were printed by hand, printers kept individual metal letters in wooden trays called cases.
✨ Lowercase: These were the small letters used most often, so they were kept in the lower case—right at the printer's fingertips for easy reaching.
✨ Uppercase: The capital letters were used less frequently, so they were stored in the upper case on the higher shelf.
Now you know!
