UT Horse Judging

The Horse Judging Team is serving as officiants for the Eastern Region 4H Horse Judging contest today in Harriman, TN! What a great opportunity to support youth programs and gain judging experience!

Our individuals had a great day at the MTSU Open Horse Judging Contest! Isabella Rutherford came home with 1st Collegiate Overall and Naomi Manthey was 2nd Overall and 1st in Halter (her first judging collegiate contest!) So proud of their preparation and hard work!

We had a great time last night at the Careers in Cowtown event hosted by NRCHA! Trinity Johnson won a resume review by Of the West! We have been having a great time in Ft Worth and we are excited to judge the live runs of the SHTX Collegiate challenge today!

As we prep for our upcoming contests, we welcomed NRCHA judge Brandi Scheer, who talked with students about all things cow work. A huge thank you to Scheer Performance Horses for supporting our team!

The judging team also hosted a booth at the Eastern Region Horse Management Field Day, where President Isabella Rutherford and Secretary Trinity Johnson taught attendees about judging cutting horses.

We are so excited to hit the road again this semester and judge some awesome horses! 🐴✨

National Cutting Horse Judging Contest - 4th Overall Collegiate Team ⭐️

We had the best time at the NCHA Futurity contest in Fort Worth this week! Team members Elena Hamilton, Julia Martin, Annemarie Graham, Trinity Johnson, and Isabella Rutherford competed in the collegiate division consisting of a rulebook test, penalty clips, and judging video runs. So proud of all these girls and their hard work!

We had a wonderful time today at SDP Buffalo Ranch in Fort Worth despite the rain! We got to meet all of their cutting stallions as we prep for the NCHA contest tomorrow! 🦬🐴🧡

The Horse Judging team had a wonderful time in Oklahoma City this week competing at the AQHA World Collegiate Judging Competition! Thank you AQHA for organizing such a wonderful contest. Trinity Johnson and Annemarie Graham competed in the Limited Division, and Elena Hamilton competed in Senior Individual. We are excited to hit the road again next week to Fort Worth for the NCHA contest!
