Meet our BCM Staff!!

The BCM is student led and staff directed! They support, oversee, train, send, manage you name it! Our staff members encourage and guide students in their walk with Christ, focusing on our two pillars of evangelism and discipleship. If you need anything, they’re your people! Their roles keep the BCM running smoothly! We are so incredibly thankful for the way they lead our students!!

Today students begin moving in at the University of Tennessee! We just want people to lift up the thousands of college students that will be moving to a campus in Tennessee many for the first time. UTK currently is expecting 40,000 this fall and around 7,000 of those will be brand new. On the TNbaptist website you can find all the BCMs in our state and not just UTK.
Pray for students to be saved
Pray for students to find a bible believing campus ministry
Pray for Christian ideals to be welcomed at universities and colleges
Pray for students and staff, administration and people at our universities
Pray against false ideologies to not be allowed to be taught at out schools
Pray for physical safety on campuses
Pray against su***de, sexual assault, drunkenness, transgender ideologies, Marxism and other harmful movements among young people
Pray for Christian churches to have favor and easy access to students and campuses
Pray for university leaders to honor Christian values and morals
Pray for BCM to reach lost students, disciple students well, call out leaders, pastors, and missionaries, and strengthen our churches

Our next missions update is from Noah Wagstaff

Grateful for the opportunity to be God’s hands and feet this week!

We did mission work in Granada, Nicaragua (about half the size of Knoxville). We evangelized to many people living in poverty-stricken areas, where many were wondering where their next meal or paycheck would come from. Many accepted Jesus for the first time. We also went to the other side of the city to do revisits, partnering with local Baptist churches to speak with families who had made a profession of faith but had fallen back into old sin or stopped going to church. There were two families in particular that were reminded of their need for Jesus.

We also hosted a pastors’ conference where our youth pastor encouraged local pastors, a female leader from our church spoke to pastors’ wives, and our youth pastor’s son encouraged their children. I even befriended one of them, Nahum, who is almost 19 years old. Many of the children were receptive to hearing the Gospel. We also hosted an evangelism conference at a local church, teaching others to share their testimonies and the plan of salvation. They were open-minded, eager to learn, and willing because of their faith.

Our next update is from Sierra Carnes !
This summer I served with the Mission Center of Houston.
1. This is my team in front of the Houston skyline.
2. The theme for this summer was Matthew 5:14-16. We performed a skit about letting out light shine for each mission team that served with us.
3. Each week as youth missions teams came, we had opportunities to do devotions with them and show them what it looks like to serve others.
4. We have kids club every week and were helping the kids with their craft.
5. Also at kids club we have a reading program to help kids improve their reading during
the summer.
6. We also have senior adult programs during the week, and I got to serve lunch.
7. Since Houston was one of the cities that hosted the World Cup, we had several opportunities to do outreach to people who were visiting. In this picture we were praying for our day of ministry.
8. My team would take a picture every Sunday after church.
