Harvest season is right around the corner, and Marion County is gearing up to support our local farmers!

Do you know a farmer, harvest crew, or farm family who could use a meal during harvest? The Marion County Feed the Farmer program is back on October 10, 2026.

Join us as we celebrate Larry's induction into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame at the Iowa State Fair! The ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the 4-H Exhibit Building. We hope you'll join us in recognizing this well-deserved honor!

Larry's lifelong dedication to agriculture, youth, and community service has left a lasting impact on Marion County 4-H. For more than 35 years, he served as swine superintendent, mentoring young exhibitors and supporting the 4-H program. His leadership also includes service on the Fair Board, local Farmers Co-op Board, and Pork Producers Board. As an auctioneer for numerous 4-H and FFA events, Larry has helped promote and support agricultural education. A lifelong farmer, he exemplifies hard work, generosity, and commitment to others. His passion for agriculture and unwavering service make him a truly deserving inductee into the Marion County 4-H Hall of Fame.
