We are so proud of Ragan and her hard work! 🧡👏

Life doesn't get less busy when you decide to go back to school.

For Ragan Warren, it meant balancing full-time work as a registered nurse, raising two young boys, and pursuing her RN to BSN through the University of Tennessee College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

She didn't wait for life to slow down.

She made it happen.

"Adjusting to full-time school, while also working full-time, and being a mom to a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old was hard. Here I am, making it happen, and I am so proud of myself."

This July, Ragan graduated Summa Cum Laude after earning Dean's List honors in both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.

The College of Nursing is proud to welcome Associate Professor Kimberly Powell to Rocky Top!

Powell is one of eight 'rock star' researchers listed by Knox News that the university is welcoming this fall bringing precision health research focused on the intersection of informatics, aging, and health equity.

Her work strengthens quality care across acute, long-term, community, and rural settings, while advancing telehealth as a high-impact way to expand access and deliver next-level support for older adults.
