Another book I think you should read is Illusions by Richard Bach. I read it as teenager, and wound up giving it to one of my sons who was struggling with anxiety when he was a teenager. This book made a tremendous difference in both our lives. Try to find it at abebooks.com.

This still is one of my favorite eavesdropping experiences. I was at Long's Drugstore, sitting at the counter. One of the waitresses says to the other, "So what are you doing this weekend?" The other waitress replies, "I reckon I'm gonna get married," to which the first waitress replied, "What? You don't have enough laundry to do?" And that is one of the most profound things I have ever overheard. Hah!
