Join us for an ERASMUS+ Visiting Artists Lecture featuring Alicja Pruchniewicz and Mariusz Kosiba of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroctaw, Poland.

Their visit has been made possible through the European Union's ERASMUS+ program. The purpose of this teaching mobility exchange is to enrich learning and teaching experiences across borders, foster international collaboration, and promote greater cultural understanding through the arts.
Our guests are Dr. Mariusz Kosiba, a sculptor and professor, and Alicja Pruchniewicz, a professor, visual artist, and she will be teaching painting classes during her visit.
Professor Alicja Pruchniewicz is a Polish visual artist, researcher, and educator teaching at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland, where she studied painting and continued her academic career through doctoral studies. Her work explores the influence of digital culture, social media, and contemporary visual communication on our perception of the physical world. She has participated in more than 150 exhibitions in Poland and internationally, as well as artist residencies in Moldova, Turkey, India, and New York City, USA. In 2017, she received the Polish Ministry of Culture Award and participated in an exhibition in Kassel during Documenta 14.
Dr. Mariusz Kosiba is a Polish sculptor, researcher, and educator at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. He received his diploma in sculpture in 2006 and later earned a PhD in Fine Arts for his research Identity of an Artwork. His practice combines sculpture with philosophical and theoretical investigations into identity and the nature of art. Kosiba has received significant recognition in public-art competitions, including first place for the Independence Monument in Wrocław, and has exhibited internationally, with recent solo exhibitions in Belgrade, Serbia and Lutsk, Ukraine.
