🦨 A Wildly Memorable Day at CES! 🦨
Today, three baby skunks captured the hearts of our students and staff.
After noticing they were alone, we kept a close eye on them throughout the day, hoping their mother would return. When it became clear they had likely been orphaned, our brave principal stepped in to help make sure they were safe.
The babies were carefully rescued and taken to a local veterinarian who works with wildlife rehabilitation, where they will receive the care they need before hopefully being returned to the wild.
Our students got a firsthand lesson in patience, compassion, and caring for wildlife. We’re grateful for everyone who helped keep a watchful eye on these little visitors and for the professionals who will now help them thrive.
Not every school day includes a skunk rescue, but today was a reminder that kindness can make a big difference, even for the smallest creatures. 💙🦨

Today Mrs. McNabb and Mrs. Martin’s class celebrated the last day of school in a big way as the students became published authors and illustrators! Over the past few weeks, the students worked hard writing stories about animals that faced a problem and came up with a solution to that problem
To celebrate their accomplishments, the classes held a book release party where each student had the opportunity to read their story aloud to classmates and share in the excitement of becoming published authors. We are so proud of all the hard work, creativity, and confidence these students showed throughout this project!
