“When we see numbers that we don’t like, it’s a natural reaction to say, ‘Well, that can’t be right,’ " the Boyd Center's Matt Harris said. That’s what we understood was happening in policy conversations surrounding the data around adverse outcomes for fi****ms, and we realized that, as a Tennessean and nonpartisan research center, we were in a position to help.”

The Boyd Center's Kira Rasmussen received an award at last night's Chancellor’s Honors Banquet for her extraordinary customer service!

Per the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, "Recipients of the Citation for Extraordinary Customer Service are those who, through their actions, bring honor to the university. These are people who excel in their jobs and in their working relationships."

We knew that description fits our Boyd Center Assistant Director to a T, and we're glad to see her hard work recognized! Congratulations, Kira!
