Beta Theta Pi - Delta Kappa Alumni

Good evening brothers. This week the chapter went through a hybrid rush, half being on zoom, and the other half being at various on campus locations. I’m DAMN PROUD to announce that we have picked up 25 upstanding young men to join our fraternity. It’s been a stressful week but the tireless work of VP of recruitment ΔΚ610 Nick Bell and the rest of the chapter paid off and the chapter now sits at 71 members, the largest it’s been in my tenure as a Delta Kappa Beta.

As with every rush week, we designed shirts and thought our alums should have the opportunity to buy one and rock your letters! They are 24$ each and we’re designed by brother Dillon Milani. It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that the April 9th alumni dinner is going to have to be cancelled. The crisis the world is facing has affected every aspect of our lives, fraternity operations are no exception. Myself and the rest of the chapter were very much looking forward to reconnecting with our alumni, and feel terrible about losing the opportunity to regale each other with stories of our times in the chapter.

We will be reaching out to the copper cellar to see if we can reschedule the dinner to a weekend in the fall, hopefully during a good football weekend.

Again I am so sorry this had to happen, but know we will do everything in our power to make sure we can celebrate our fraternity together. I hope everyone stays safe, and looks out for each other.

The Delta Kappa chapter invites you to join the current chapter, many of the Delta Kappa founders, Beta sweethearts, friends of Beta, and the men of Delta Kappa from 1967 to 2017 in celebrating our 50th Anniversary. The event will be held at The Jackson Terminal in Knoxville on Friday, November 3rd. The price per ticket is $75 per alumni/adviser and an additional $40 for a date. The cost of ticket will include dinner. Formal attire is recommended for the evening. This is going to be the largest reunion of Delta Kappa brothers to date, so please make plans to attend and invite your pledge brothers.

Thank you to everyone who was about to make it out to our Alumni Dinner! The undergrads greatly enjoyed being able to hear the many stories about the chapter and the different experiences of all the different alumni. We are very excited about the progress our chapter has made in the last year. Don't forget to mark you calendar for the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration on November 3rd, 2017! There should be more communication being sent to you and be on the look out for a newsletter being mailed out in the next week or so by the undergrads.
