For a procrastinating student who crams practice session right before and only right before the lesson:
Let’s say you’re trying to create healthy eating habits. If you eat all the servings of vegetables you need for the week all in one day, are you set for the week? Does that mean you can stop eating veggies for the remaining days of the week? Just like our body doesn’t work that way, our learning process doesn’t work that way either. If an hour of daily practice is overwhelming, start with 15 minutes daily. Short daily practice is better than longer one or two days of practice in the week. Your brain will be less overwhelmed with the information, and you will be giving your body the time to develop muscle memory!
