Sunday Reflection | A New Season

There’s something about this time of year.

Summer begins to fade, campus comes back to life, and another academic year starts to unfold. Every season reminds us that change is part of life. It stretches us, challenges us, and sometimes asks us to step into the unknown.

The truth is, change rarely feels comfortable in the moment.

But some of the most meaningful seasons in life begin with a little uncertainty. Looking back, it's often easier to see where God was leading all along. What once felt unfamiliar became the very thing that grew our faith, shaped our character, and prepared us for what was next.

As we prepare to welcome students, faculty, staff, and families back to campus, we're reminded that a college education reaches far beyond the classroom. Knowledge matters. Skills matter. But so does character. So does faith. So does discovering the gifts God has given each of us and learning to use them to serve others.

As a new academic year begins, our prayer is that every classroom, conversation, challenge, and opportunity would draw people closer to Christ and continue shaping lives for His Kingdom.

Where Faith Shapes Purpose.
A reminder that who we're becoming matters just as much as what we're learning.

Your education should be as unique as the purpose God has placed on your life.

With Johnson University's Integrative Studies program, you don't have to choose just one path. Design a customized major by combining two areas of study that align with your passions, strengths, and career goals, all while being equipped with a Christ-centered foundation for wherever God leads.

The program culminates in a research project that brings your two areas of specialization together in meaningful ways.

✨ Your Degree.
✨ Your Calling.

As we gear up for the start of the fall semester, we're highlighting some of our favorite spots across campus, and today we're starting with a student favorite... Habaneros!

Whether you're grabbing lunch between classes, catching up with friends, meeting with a professor, or taking a well-deserved study break, Habaneros has become one of the go-to gathering places for our students, faculty, and staff.

Great food has a way of bringing people together, and some of the best conversations, connections, and memories happen around the table.

We're looking forward to welcoming everyone back to campus soon! πŸ§‘πŸ’™

Most leadership development is a one-time event.

A conference. A workshop. A book that sits on your shelf after chapter three.

The Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership is different. It's a 30-credit, fully online master's degree that develops vision, culture-building, change management, ethics, and communication β€” a toolbox you'll carry into every leadership role for the rest of your career.

Johnson University just made it more accessible than ever. If the cost was the hesitation β€” the door is open. πŸ‘‰ johnsonu.edu/masters/master-of-arts-in-organizational-leadership

Sunday Reflection...

The world has a way of convincing us that faster is always better. Move quickly. Decide immediately. Stay ahead. Don't fall behind.

But throughout Scripture, we see something different.

God is intentional. He prepares hearts before opportunities. He shapes character before calling. He teaches us to trust Him one step at a time.

Waiting isn't wasted when it's spent with Him.

There are moments when moving ahead can seem like the right choice, but God's direction is always worth following, even when it asks us to slow our pace. His timing is never late, and His guidance is never without purpose.

As a new week begins, may we resist the pressure to rush ahead of God's leading. Instead, may we have the faith to walk at His pace, trusting that every step He orders is preparing us for the purpose He has ahead.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." β€” Proverbs 3:5–6
