✨ Foil Collage Fun in Jr. Preschool B! ✨

Creativity was shining bright as our friends explored a variety of art materials during our Foil Collage activity! Using foil, feathers, pom-poms, and other exciting textures, children were encouraged to create independently, make choices, and express their ideas through art.

Hands-on experiences like these help children develop creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence as they learn that there is no right or wrong way to create. Each masterpiece was as unique as the child who made it! 💙

Today we’re celebrating our oceans, the animals who call them home, and the little learners who will help shape a brighter future.

At our school, we believe kindness extends beyond the classroom — to our friends, families, communities, and the world around us.

Looking for a simple way to celebrate with your child today? Try reading a book about ocean animals, taking a family walk to pick up litter, using a reusable water bottle, or talking about why clean water matters.

Small moments like these help children build curiosity, kindness, and care for the world around them. 💙

❄️ Sensory play was in full swing at Rocky Top Academy – Sequoyah Hills! ❄️

Our toddlers explored ice using simple tools while practicing scooping, transferring, painting, and discovering through hands-on play. Watching their little faces light up as they explored different textures, temperatures, and colors was such a fun reminder that learning happens best through experience. 🧊🎨

These meaningful moments help build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and creativity, all while encouraging children to follow their curiosity and engage their senses.

Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest learning moments. 💙

It was an incredible week at Rocky Top Academy – Sequoyah Hills! ☀️🎨🫧

This week was filled with creativity, exploration, laughter, and so many opportunities for our children to learn through hands-on experiences and meaningful play.

✨ Building Friendships
Our friends spent time learning how to work together, share ideas, communicate, and build connections with one another. Some of the sweetest moments happen during play, conversation, and teamwork.

✨ Shaving Cream Art
Children explored sensory play through shaving cream art, using their hands to create, swirl colors, and strengthen fine motor skills while engaging their imaginations.

✨ Building with Colored Sticks
Through building and designing with colored sticks, our children practiced problem-solving, creativity, balance, and early engineering skills while proudly showing off their creations.

✨ Recycle Art
Our little artists transformed everyday recycled materials into unique masterpieces, encouraging creativity while learning the importance of reusing materials and caring for our environment.

✨ Water Bottle Windsocks
Children created colorful windsocks while exploring art, movement, and outdoor observation. They loved watching their creations blow in the breeze!

✨ Creating Puppets
Puppet making encouraged imagination, storytelling, self-expression, and language development as children brought their own characters to life.

✨ Growing and Caring for Our Community
Our children continued learning the importance of caring for the world around them by helping in our community garden and exploring how things grow with love, patience, and teamwork.

✨ Water Days
Nothing says summer fun like water play! Our friends stayed cool while building coordination skills, confidence, and friendships through active outdoor play.

✨ Picnics Together
Sharing meals picnic-style created opportunities for conversation, laughter, independence, and making memories together outdoors.

✨ A Visit from Magician Michael Messing
Our children were amazed and engaged during a special visit from Magician Michael Messing! There were smiles, laughter, wonder, and excitement all around as the magic came to life before their eyes.

🫧 And did we mention bubbles everywhere?
From giant bubbles to tiny bubbles floating through the air, there was joy and excitement in every direction!

We are so thankful for the opportunity to create meaningful experiences where children can explore, imagine, create, and grow in both our indoor and outdoor learning environments. Watching these moments unfold is truly the best part of what we do every day. 💙
