Yesterday, students welcomed their Special Friends to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. This program pairs each KJDS student with a community “Special Friend” and creates meaningful relationships that can last a lifetime.

Together, we tasted different varieties of apples and honey, shared lots of smiles, and used our imaginations to create our very own scales! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and connection.

What a joyful way to start the day!

Our amazing Judaica & Hebrew department planned a fun morning filled with activity stations that had our students learning, celebrating, and starting the day with BIG smiles.

Our kindergarten scientists were busy exploring reactions in STEAM last week. They combined baking soda and vinegar to create a fizzy chemical reaction, and used that reaction to inflate a balloon.

They also made raisins dance, watching as bubbles formed and lifted the raisins up and down. So much hands-on learning, curiosity, and scientific discovery happening in our kindergarten classroom!

Our kindergarten classrooms are full of choice.

Playlist, stations, and morning activities may look different for every student, and that’s exactly the point. Each child gets to choose how they want to work toward our weekly learning targets, building independence, confidence, and a love of learning along the way.
