Women in Design at UTK works to increase the viability and visibility of women in design-related industries and to prepare students for success.
Women in Design at UTK is a student-led group that celebrates women’s achievements in design, creates a space for discussion on women’s “issues” in the design realms, offers networking and collaboration opportunities with other students and professionals across design disciplines, and overall, empowers young women to be confident and successful designers when they graduate.

The design world is gendered, but it shouldn't be. Men and women are fully capable of success in BOTH interiors and architecture, and interiors does not always mean decorating what architects have made. Don't allow the limits that exist scare you off-- be the change you want to see in this world!
