MONDAY JUNE 1
GO ALONG FOR THE RIDE
Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:2 (NLT)
When my kids get in the car and ask where we’re going, I say, “Forward.” They ask how long, and I say, “For as long as I’m driving.” They ask why, and I tell them, “Because I said so.” Finally, they settle in and go along for the ride. They know me and trust me to take them somewhere good.
In fact, they trust me and Tamara so much that sometimes they take their blessings for granted. I’m actually kind of glad. Gratitude can be taught; I’d rather see them live in such deep trust that they have to exercise thankfulness, rather than live in fear and distrust.
Now, if you develop both trust and gratitude, you’ll be living in the perfect will of God. How do you get there? Today’s verse shows us the key: “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” Other translations call this “renewing your mind.”
If you’re struggling to trust God in an area of your life, study His Word and get to know His character in that area. If you’re worried about finances, study who God is as your provider. If you’re fearful about the future, discover who He is as your protector. If you’re facing illness, find out who God is as your healer.
Like my kids, when you know your Father deeply, trust grows. As you meditate on the Word and practice thanking Him, it renews your mind. Before you know it, you’ll be walking on His path—and willing to go along for the ride with Him!

On Sunday, We Rewrite Our Epitaph
Rededication 250: A Day of Prayer, Praise, and Worship will take place this upcoming Sunday, May 17th. Please pray that it accomplishes everything the Lord desires…and requires.
I have written previously about the Hebrew words for dedication/rededication. They also mean “consecration” or “set apart unto.” One of those words, qadash,(1) is used on four very important occasions when the people of Israel were told to dedicate themselves to God as a nation. Looking at these occasions will help us understand how to pray for Sunday.
SINAI
The first is in Exodus 19:10. Moses was told to qadash (dedicate) Israel for two days at the foot of Mount Sinai, before he went up the mountain to meet with God. Yahweh was preparing to supernaturally give Moses the government for Israel, formalizing them as a nation: laws, policies, procedures, important dates, etc. Four verses before these instructions, the Lord had told them: “And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation” (verse 6). Sinai was, among other things, “government mountain.” And before Israel was formally born there, they were prepared by these two days of dedication.
This upcoming Sunday, we will meet at America’s “government mountain” to rededicate ourselves as “one nation under God.” We’ll declare allegiance to His will and ways, and worship Him there. Pray that His presence, power, and glory come spiritually over our nation, just as they did tangibly at Sinai.
THE PRIESTHOOD
In Exodus 28:41, Moses was told to qadash (dedicate) Aaron and his sons to the Lord before anointing them as the beginning of Israel’s priesthood. Qadash precedes anointing. God wanted more than a religious nation; He wanted a relationship, a connection, with people. And ultimately, not just with Israel, but with all people.
Israel was to play a significant role in this, helping Him save the world and recover His family: the Messiah would come through them! This partnership, obviously, would require that the connection remain strong. To aid in this, the priesthood was essential. And for this significant role, they had to be dedicated to Him.
America was also created by God to partner with Him in saving the world. Pray that our spiritual leaders rededicate themselves to this cause, and receive a fresh anointing to lead.
ENTERING CANAAN
In Joshua 3:5, Joshua told the people to qadash (dedicate) themselves to the Lord before crossing the Jordan into the promised land of Canaan. They were about to receive the fulfillment of a 430-year-old promise to Abraham: the gift of a homeland. But first, the Lord told them to spend a day connecting with Him. This shows us that the condition of our hearts affects our land and possessions.
Pray that this Sunday makes possible the healing of our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). The blood of multiplied millions of babies, as well as violence, broken covenants, immorality, and idolatry, have defiled our land. Ask that the blood of Jesus cleanses our homeland from ALL sin and unrighteousness (1 John 1:7).
RESTORATION
Joel 2 is a desperate, urgent call to national repentance amidst a catastrophic insect plague and severe drought in Israel. This plague - a judgment from Israel’s sin - threatened total economic destruction, just as their sin threatened spiritual destruction. The solution, Joel prophesied, was a national return to God. In Joel 2:15-16, the prophet declared that the people of Israel should qadash (dedicate) themselves to Him once again, to allow for the incredible restoration God wanted to perform. “Connect with Me, so I can heal you.” God told Israel He wanted their hearts, not religious ceremonies (verses 12-13). And He wanted to bless them abundantly (verses 18-27), including the pouring out of His Spirit (verses 28-29).
Pray with us that on Sunday, our nation responds in such a way that God can restore us, remove the curses we have brought on ourselves, and pour out His Spirit. There has already been much repentance for America by millions of believers; we have stood in the gap, repenting for the whole. Throughout history, God has accepted the repentance and intercession of a remnant for the sins of a nation. I believe He has for America, as well, and that restoration and revival are coming to our land. Ask that what happens on Sunday be the capstone for this.
In the book Is It Real When It Doesn't Work? Doug Murren and Barb Shurin recount:
“Toward the end of the nineteenth century, Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel awoke one morning to read his own obituary in the local newspaper: ‘Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite, who died yesterday, devised a way for more people to be killed in a war than ever before, and he died a very rich man.’
“Actually, it was Alfred’s older brother who had died; a newspaper reporter had
bungled the epitaph. But the account had a profound effect on Nobel. He decided he wanted to be known for something other than developing the means to kill people efficiently and for amassing a fortune in the process. So he initiated the Nobel Prize, the award for scientists and writers who foster peace. Nobel said, ‘Every man ought to have the chance to correct his epitaph in midstream and write a new one.’”(2)
God is giving America a chance to rewrite our epitaph. If written now, it would read, “Weighed in the balances and found wanting.”
On Sunday, we can change it.
Pray with me:
Lord, thousands will gather at America’s “government mountain” this weekend, and millions will join online, to rededicate our nation to You. We believe You led our President to ask for this. In response, we ask You to come to this mountain with Your presence, power, and glory, just as You did at Sinai. Re-consecrate America.
Purify and recommission our spiritual leaders, symbolized by Aaron, his sons, and Israel’s priesthood. Bring revival to the church, and start with the leaders.
And heal our land. As we dedicate ourselves to You on Sunday, let healing flow to our “Canaan,” our inheritance. Our land is defiled and groaning. From sea to shining sea, please cleanse our nation from innocent bloodshed and all other defilements.
Finally, restore us to You, and to our destiny. The plagues of Joel have become the plagues of America (Joel 1:4 KJV). “Worms” and “locusts” are eating us from the inside out; devastation is everywhere, and our land is ravaged. In wrath, please remember mercy. As we gather with You on Sunday, let us rewrite our epitaph. We pray this in Yeshua’s name. Amen.
Our decree:
Say it with me: America shall be saved/America is being saved.

FRIDAY MAY 15
HOW TO ESCAPE THE TRAP
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
Perfectionism is at odds with God’s grace. Anytime we treat grace like a reward or something we must earn, we miss out on its incredible beauty.
So, how do we escape the “perfect trap” and enjoy that grace? It may sound counterintuitive, but one way is to embrace your imperfections. After all, it’s your imperfections that make you you.
When I was dating my wife, it was her “perfections” that first attracted me to her. But after several years of marriage, I’ve realized that it’s the imperfections that make my love for Jess grow deeper. Knowing that she loves me despite my flaws, and choosing to love her in hers, makes our bond stronger. Our faults and weaknesses teach us how to love each other more fully. That’s the beauty of embracing imperfection—it invites grace.
And that’s exactly how God’s grace works in our lives. We don’t deserve it, but it’s freely available to each of us. His grace accepts our limitations, meets us in our brokenness, and gives us confidence in His love.
You see, Jesus didn’t give His life for a world of flawless people. He gave it for people like you and me, fully aware that we would continue to stumble, make mistakes, and live imperfect lives. Yet He chose to pour out His incredible grace and love to us without hesitation.
What’s even more comforting is knowing that God is faithful in His grace, even when we’re not. And if He can accept and embrace you in your imperfect, human ways, maybe it’s time you did too.

MONDAY APRIL 6
BRINGING ORDER TO CHAOS
God does not want us to be in disorder but in harmony and peace.
1 Corinthians 14:33 (GNT)
My wife hates going to Costco with me because I spend the entire time trying to improve everything about it. It’s always so chaotic that I can’t help but remind people about the basic “rules of the road,” letting them know what they’re doing wrong with their carts. We are not created to live a life of chaos. Even walking through Costco, something in me wants order.
We live in a fallen world where all of life is in a continual balance—like scales tipping toward order or chaos. I believe when the scale leans hard toward chaos, it’s because on the other side, believers are not living out the life God has called them to—empowered by Holy Spirit.
There is a God-given desire in us to bring order out of chaos, to be an example of a loving God to the world. But is that how unbelievers generally view the church? Or do they see believers as people just adding to the chaos?
When the church is empowered by Holy Spirit, that’s when we have order, harmony, and peace. The scales start to turn when believers bring life into situations—speaking truth, being courageous in the face of adversity, and always showing God’s love. We are to express our God-given authority—not in a way that enforces and dominates, but in a way that empowers God’s original design.
We are called to love and restore this world to a place where it can thrive, free from condemnation, chaos, and confusion. Without directing traffic at Costco, what are ways you can bring harmony and peace to situations in your life?

“RESURGENCE OF FAITH”: In an Easter message to Americans, President Trump said that religion is experiencing renewed growth in the United States after decades of decline.
“This Easter, millions of Christians all over the globe will be reminded that because of what Jesus did on the cross, all of us can live every day with hope in God's promise, knowing that in the end, evil and wickedness will not prevail,” he added.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 9
IT JUST SO HAPPENED
“Do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”
Matthew 10:19–20 (ESV)
After preaching on Sundays, I’m often exhausted and all I want to do is lay on the couch. One day, that’s when my wife asked me to run to the store for some milk. So I was on a mission to get what I needed and get back to the couch as fast as possible.
Then I felt it. You know that little nudge in your gut? I had been preaching how to live like Jesus and now I was trying to avoid people. What a hypocrite. So I asked Holy Spirit to help me—not just to find the right milk, but to use me in someone’s life.
I felt drawn to pay for an older lady’s groceries, but I hesitated and missed my chance. Finding her in the parking lot, I carefully approached her and gave her some cash. She told me how her nephew had just died and the groceries were for his kids, now left orphaned. I shared how much God must love her to set up this “coincidental” meeting, and she started sobbing. She felt like God had forgotten her and just that morning prayed for Him to send someone across her path because she didn’t have hope to live anymore. Wow. I was humbled.
I didn’t even want to get off the couch, but when I opened my heart to the promptings of Holy Spirit it just so happened to lead to a life-changing moment. Where is Holy Spirit leading you?

Operating in the Invisible Realm
Introduction
There are some truths from Scripture that, while essential for our success as we represent Christ, are rarely taught. I feel the need to emphasize a few of them for the remainder of this week. In today’s post, I want to remind us of the reality of the invisible realm of the spirit. I am using portions of the Give Him 15 Devotional, Volume One. Today’s title is:
Operating in the Invisible Realm
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12.
The “heavenly places” referred to in the above verse are not often talked about. This is very unfortunate. Let’s look at the following verses:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places. And raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
This sounds like one uninterrupted passage of Scripture, doesn’t it? It is actually five separate verses from Ephesians 1:3, 1:20, 2:6, 3:10, and 6:12. I became fascinated several years ago as I read these verses consecutively, with none of the in-between sections. I realized they really do provide a continuity of thought. In summary, they tell us we have been given everything we need in order to operate in heavenly places; Christ has been given all authority in this realm; we have been seated there with Him in that position of authority; through us, from our position there with Christ, God intends to confront the kingdom of darkness; finally, the last verse describes that evil kingdom, listing its various components.
What are “heavenly places”? They do not refer to heaven, God’s home, but to the invisible atmosphere all around us, the spiritual realm. It is the unseen realm of the spirit – invisible yet real, hidden yet very active. Much of what happens on earth is influenced from it; certainly, anything of eternal significance or that regulates the destinies of people and nations is influenced from this realm. However, most people, including Christians, give little thought to this unseen world. Many people, especially in cultures that emphasize higher education and intellectualism, are actually cynical of this dimension’s existence. But the Bible is filled with descriptions and accounts of it. In fact, apart from the invisible realm, there is no God, satan, angels, demons, the fall of humankind, the birth of Christ, redemption through the Cross, miracles, or resurrection of the dead. Yet again, surprisingly, most American Christians live their lives without considering how much this realm affects us, let alone how we can influence it.
As I meditated on these 5 verses of Ephesians, God began emphasizing to me that I was not cognizant enough of this invisible realm. It was not a new subject to me. I had been aware of it for many years and realized we could operate in it through our prayers and actions. But Holy Spirit was revealing to me that, even so, I was not as conscious of this dimension as I needed to be. I saw more clearly that in order to be as effective as possible in changing situations on earth, I had to understand more fully how this heavenly realm affected them. Conversely, I also needed a greater understanding of how I could influence the invisible world. Consider the following significant statement: the more we learn to function in the invisible spiritual realm, recognizing and applying its governing principles, the more we can partner with God, positively impact our world, avoid the snares and influence of the evil one, and enjoy the blessings of our salvation.(1)
The more I studied this spiritual realm, the more I realized it was central to the Bible’s overall theme – two invisible kingdoms warring for control of the visible world. The following account of the unseen gives us a vivid glimpse:
“When the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, ‘Alas, my master! What shall we do?’ So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ Then Elisha prayed and said, ‘O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, ‘Strike these people with blindness, I pray.’ So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:15-18 NASB)
The invisible forces were there all along – it was just that Elisha’s servant could not initially see them. And so it is with us. We live in a world filled with constant and tremendous angelic and demonic activity. Our natural eyes, however, simply cannot perceive it.
If we Christians are going to be effective in prayer, we must acknowledge, understand, and learn to influence the spiritual realm. We must move beyond our fear of criticism and agree with Scripture. Jesus is our example, and He frequently dealt with the invisible. He was aware of it and consistently engaged unseen entities, stirring up demonic opposition everywhere He went.
The early church in Acts did so as well, confronting forces of darkness and addressing them when appropriate. We are inconsistent if we confess to be Bible-believing followers of Christ and yet refuse to acknowledge and deal with the invisible kingdom of darkness. Failure in this area hinders us greatly.
Pray with me:
Father, increase our understanding of the spiritual realm and how it influences the natural realm. Give us understanding of how to impact this dimension and extend Your Kingdom influence from it into our natural world. We ask for a greater revelation of how to release the victory of Christ into the earth in order to change nations, cities, and people. Make us more conscious of the invisible realm where much of what occurs on earth is determined. We pray that anointed teachers will be raised up to skillfully teach on this subject, so that with the tools You give us, we can operate in this invisible realm with balance, skill, and accuracy.
And as we do so often here, we ask You for, and thank You in advance, for sending the greatest spiritual awakening/revival ever to the nations of the earth. We pray that entire cultures and people groups would be swept into Your family. We ask You to break off from them the control of invisible principalities and evil spirits, freeing them to see truth and receive Your love and provision. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Our decree:
We boldly declare that the spirit of wisdom and revelation is being released into the church at the highest level possible.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 12
HOW JESUS SAYS TO PRAY
“In this manner, therefore, pray...”
Matthew 6:9 (NKJV)
Imagine you’re sipping coffee in your favourite chair, reading the Word, and pondering what Jesus would say is the best way to pray. All of a sudden, Jesus walks in and says, “Pray like this…” Then He gives you a guideline of how best to pray. Wow!
He actually did this in Matthew 6:9–13 when He was teaching His disciples about prayer. This is where we find what is now known as “The Lord’s Prayer.” He said, “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (v. 9–10, NKJV).
First, begin praying by worshipping God, praising His holy name and seeking first His Kingdom and His will. Then acknowledge that God supplies all your needs for physical and spiritual nourishment. “Give us this day our daily bread” (v. 11). Then focus on forgiveness. We are to forgive as God forgives us, not holding grudges or condemning others. “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” (v. 12).
This next part must have been very real to Jesus as He had just been tempted by the devil in the wilderness. “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (v. 13). First Corinthians 10:13 says it’s common to experience temptations, but God will never let it be more than you can handle and will always provide a way of escape.
The prayer ends by acknowledging that God’s Kingdom is what matters most. “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen” (v. 13). Let Jesus’ example shape your prayer life, starting today.
