📎 Work Wednesday! Connor Glover, a senior studying supply chain management, is spending his summer as a management intern with Dayton Freight at the company's Nashville service center. Through experiences ranging from dock operations and dispatch to finance and driver ride-alongs, he is gaining firsthand insight into all aspects of the logistics business.

From Milan's luxury retailers to Modena's automotive industry and Genoa's historic port, students gained insight into global business while immersing themselves in the richness of Italian culture.

Haslam students recently explored business, culture and innovation in Portugal! 🇵🇹 During their time in Lisbon, students visited global companies and local startups to learn about trade, entrepreneurship and economic growth within the European Union. Beyond the classroom, they experienced Portuguese culture through city tours, a cooking class and even a sunset river cruise.

Emma Lenz, a junior supply chain management major, is a marketing intern with Chinti & Parker in London. She supports the brand’s marketing team through social media content, influencer outreach, campaign planning, and market research. She is gaining hands-on experience in the luxury fashion industry while contributing to projects that strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement, allowing her to apply concepts from her economics and supply chain management studies while learning about fashion marketing in a global business environment!

What began as a classroom solution has grown into a business making an impact on educators nationwide.

Haslam alumnus Joel Smith founded TeachCraft to help teachers implement project-based learning through practical tools, resources and community support. Today, the platform is helping educators create more engaging learning experiences while spending more time doing what they do best: teaching.

These Haslam students learned about nonprofits and social enterprise in Cape Town, South Africa. 🇿🇦 Through business site visits, cultural experiences and nonprofit engagement, students examined how government, culture and entrepreneurship shape South Africa's global presence. Highlights included a cooking class in Bo-Kaap, a cricket lesson and a wildlife safari in the "Rainbow Nation."
