Thank you to Byron Boston of Dynex Capital for sharing more than 40 years of experience and insight with attendees of the Neel Corporate Governance Center’s Governance Insights Speaker Series.

Byron offered thoughtful perspectives on how good risk management requires a good imagination. The Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has welcomed 21 faculty members to its 2026-27 Faculty Fellows program, its largest cohort since the program launched in 2023.

This year’s fellows represent 11 colleges across the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, bringing perspectives from business, engineering, education, music, nursing and more to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration around entrepreneurship and innovation.

With more than 20 years of experience in social psychology, Shteynberg is bringing his expertise in human behavior to Haslam’s Department of Marketing, where his research is exploring areas including consumer behavior, AI and the relationships people form with technology.

This fall, Haslam welcomed approximately 2,505 new undergraduate students and reached a record 9,897 total undergraduate enrollment. The incoming class also set new academic records for the college, with first-year students earning an average high school GPA of 4.22 and an average ACT score of 28.4.

With students joining us from across the U.S. and around the world, Haslam continues to grow a community of future business leaders prepared to make an impact.
