As announced last year Sweet Tea & Soda Pop College Experiences and Golden Educational Consulting have joined forces! Here is some important information for HS juniors (class of 2027) in the state of TN! See below 👇

Big news for current Tennessee HS juniors - Class of 2027!

Following the anticipated successes of the Direct Admissions pilot across the state, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission is launching a statewide Direct Admissions program — meaning eligible seniors will receive automatic admission offers AND estimated financial aid offers.

Even more:
➡️ The Tennessee Promise application will open early (April 1, 2026)
➡️ Students will have a longer window to take advantage of these opportunities

What does this mean for families?

Less guessing.
More clarity.
Earlier insight into options and affordability.

What a great turnout last night for our Planning for College Workshop! Thank you to all who attended! Sweet Tea & Soda Pop College Experiences partnered with the expertise of Dr. Thom Golden with Golden Education Consultants to bring this workshop to families in the Knoxville area. I know some were unable to make it due to summer vacation plans, not a problem, we will do another workshop in the early fall! Stay tuned!

Happy National College Decision Day!! While this is a very exciting time for most students, some are still feeling very stressed!

Remember if you deposited at multiple schools and you have narrowed down to your top choice as of today, please contact the other schools to let them know you will not be attending! This is very important to colleges and universities to know who truly intends on enrolling and it could make room for other students still on a waitlist.

Congratulations class of 2025 on all your accomplishments! Your hard work has paid off 🎓

🎉This is an exciting time of year for many students, accepting enrollment at their dream colleges and universities 🎉Many students apply to multiple institutions, yet ultimately you can only attend one. Large flagship schools are seeing record application numbers across the country. While it is not required, it is greatly appreciated, if you were accepted at multiple schools and you have narrowed down your top choice, reach out to the admissions offices at the other schools and respectfully decline your offer of admissions.

FAFSA IS OPEN FOR THE CLASS OF 2025 🎉 As college decisions begin to roll in, while you should absolutely take some time to celebrate, don’t forget to fill out your FAFSA!
