South Knoxville Elementary School PTO

We are full of concession stand pickles (iykyk) and gratitude for everyone who came together yesterday to make Field Day 2026 amazing!

We ended our last PTO meeting of the school year yesterday by honoring our treasurer Jamie Smith who is stepping down after 8 years of serving the PTO in various capacities.

Jamie is the first to say “I’ll do that,” and has been a wealth of information for anyone new in an officer position over the years. And even though she won’t officially be an officer anymore, we have a feeling we won’t be rid of her when we need someone to lend a hand.

Thank you for all you’ve done and all you do. We are so grateful for your years of hard work for SKE.

We heard today was Principal Appreciation Day and there’s no one we love and appreciate more (every day not just today) than our very own Dr. Fairchild.

Thank you for leading the SKE students, staff, teachers, and community this year. We are unbelievably lucky that you joined us at the beginning of the year; it’s hard to think of anyone else that would’ve been such a great addition to our school.

We are so grateful for your hard work and dedication. Thank you for all you do for SKE!

Our fence banners are up and they look incredible.

We heard it was National Assistant Principal’s week last week, so we wanted to shout out our beloved Mr. Mosley.

Not only is he the best dressed in any room, he’s always has a positive attitude and a loving, kind heart for all our SKE students.

With decades of experience as both an educator and an administrator, we are truly lucky to call him ours. Thanks for all you do Mr. Mosley!

We’re heading into MAYCEMBER (iykyk) so here is a quick look at all the events coming up from now until then.

May 4-8 is also Teacher Appreciation Week, so be on the lookout for more information about that as well!

Calling all business owners or employees of businesses who want to give back:

We’d love sponsors for our field day and water day shirts! Your business logo will be featured on the back of the shirts.

The PTO provides shirts to all 198 students FOR FREE plus teachers, staff, and room volunteers. This year we are also giving caregivers the option to pre- order shirts to wear as spectators… that’s a lot of eyeballs on your logo!

You’ll be offsetting a HUGE budget spend for us and will get visibility on over 200 shirts.
