🌟 MEET THE TEAM 🌟
As our team continues to grow, it felt like the right time to properly introduce the people behind the Park’s mission. We’re excited to launch our Meet the Team series and share the new and familiar faces helping shape the Park every day.
We’re starting with our President and CEO, Brett Malone. As the heart of the Park, Brett’s leadership, vision, and initiative have played a major role in building the momentum we have today. He joined the team in September 2024, and since then has helped strengthen research innovation, collaboration between academia and industry, and support the growth of commercial tenants across the Park. His dedication to innovation and building out our community continues to move the Park forward and shape what comes next.

On March 30th, the University of Tennessee hosted an EU Science Counselors Delegation representing more than 12 embassies and organizations as well as members of NCURA: National Council of University Research Administrators as part of a visit coordinated with UTK’s Office of Global Research, Innovation, and Partnerships (GRIP).
During their time in East Tennessee, the delegation toured numerous facilities including the UT Research Park to explore how research, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration are shaping the future of innovation in our region. Conversations highlighted the Park’s role in advancing new technologies, supporting research across numerous industries, and the ongoing development of innovation districts across Knoxville.
This visit also highlights a larger force taking place across East Tennessee, where research and strategic partnerships are creating new opportunities for talent, investment, and global collaboration.
As interest from international leaders continues to grow, the UT Research Park is proud to be part of a mission that takes research beyond the lab and into communities, industries, and markets around the world 🌎
