We are so grateful some sisters had the opportunity to attend our 25th National Convention in Flushing, New York this year! Our sisters had an amazing experience over the weekend connecting with sisters from across the country, learning opportunities in becoming strong Dedicated Female Leaders, and exploring New York City. 🗽

We also welcomed our FA25 neos in our new member ceremony. Our chapter is so proud of Kappa Class and all they have accomplished since joining our everlasting sisterhood!

This year, Chi Chapter is proud to be recognized with the Blue Rose Award!

We congratulate Sister Ashmira, Gracie Hibbs, for being recognized with the New Member of the Year Award!

𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨: To work as a teen counselor and support young people through challenges while helping them grow into confident and healthy individuals.
𝙁𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮: Finding out who my big was and Kappa class reveal show. Those moments made me feel truly welcomed and connected to my sisters.

There is no other way to put this, but Julieth has exemplified what it means to be a dedicated female leader. Coming into the chapter, she had one goal in mind. That was to bring the sisterhood closer and come back to our roots as a three star chapter. Through her grit and love, she was able to accomplish it all and more. She has put in more work than we ever expected. Though she doesn’t give herself enough flowers, she deserves the acknowledgment and praise. Julieth has always been level-headed and seeks what is best. We know the field she plans to pursue will be grateful for her presence. Thank you for providing us the space to laugh and feel accepted. You will continue shining that light onto others.

𝙈𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 + 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙧: Social Work + Human Development & Family Science
𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨: I plan to get my School Social Work Licensure after graduation. I will be pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at UTK (online). I am focusing on clinical concentration and getting my trauma treatment certificate. I will work my two part-time jobs during this time. Once I graduate with my master’s degree, I plan to become a school or medical social worker and gain clinical hours toward my LCSW. After, I plan to become a therapist to help undocumented and mixed-status families through mental health, case management, and advocacy. Also, be well-traveled.

Everyone knows her as just Lydia, but we know her as our sweet Lydia. From the moment she joined, she has shown great passion in Delta Phi Lambda. To have seen Lydia grow into the amazing young woman we know today has been an honor. With her strong desire to be the woman she wants to continue to be has not surprised us. Sooo Ann, me, helps run this social media page. I’m not able to write myself a heartfelt message. However, I wanted to shortly share my experience. This chapter has helped me grow in every aspect of my life. Academically, emotionally, culturally, and this list goes on. I’m beyond thankful that this chapter provided a platform for me to grow into a stronger woman and leader. All the connections I have made and relationship I have gained is something I truly believe no other organization could have provided me. Forever grateful. Forever thankful.

𝙈𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 + 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙧: Journalism & Electronic Media + Political Science
𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨: I have accepted a fellowship position for a city in Memphis. I plan on gaining more experience in this field before I lead myself to my next desired chapter. Other than that, just trying to learn more about myself and what I love.
𝙁𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮: There are so many to choose from. My big taking me to lunch after a breakup because she knew I was struggling with eating (funny bc I had food poisoning later that night), the time sisters pushed my car up a hill because it broke down, couch hopping at Adrianna’s and Ngoc’s when I was in between moving, ANY hangout with my line sisters, educating kappa class with Lydia, connecting with sisters outside of my chapter, and the list goes on. Truly made a bountiful amount of memories with this chapter and sorority.
𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚: You win some, you lose a lot. That’s okay. Because “You’re beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous your future will be” Job 8:7

From the bubbly young woman to the most inspiring young leader, Chantel has always reminded the chapter about sensibility while balancing whimsy. Everyone in the chapter recognizes her admiration for academics and how ingrained she is in the greater Knoxville community through her volunteering initiatives. She will always continue to share her love with those who get close to her and those she plans to help. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication that you have put in and out of the sorority. As the semester comes to a close, so does the chapter for each of these sisters who have brought so much love, dedication, and new ideas that bettered our sisterhood.
