📣A sneak peak of what is coming up on the menu for Wednesday meal pick-ups.

We will be at all sites handing out meals for children 18 years and younger every Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM through July 22nd. Meals are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. We do evaluate numbers weekly and adjust based on participation and the completed forms we have received.

If you completed a form verifying the children you are picking meals up for, we will have a tag for you tomorrow at that designated site.

Please be aware of the flow of traffic for every site to ensure safe entering and exiting to receive your meals. The Rockwood High School pickup's traffic flow can be found on our page. Midtown Elementary site entrance is on Ruritan Rd., the entrance off of Roane State Hwy will be blocked to keep traffic off of the main highway. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

📣 Rockwood Area 📣

This year we will be distributing meals out of Rockwood High School. We will not be at the Sports Complex. Below is the traffic flow we will be utilizing to prevent as much traffic back up on the main road as possible. You will enter on Rockwood St. turning on Lenoir Ave and go in front of Rockwood Middle School. Following the red line to the sidewalk entrance to the gym lobby area where the star is. Meals will be distributed at that point. You will then exit onto Hewitt Ave.

Don't forget today is the first day of summer meals! We will be at all the sites listed on the flyer from 11AM - 1PM. I will be posting traffic flow for the new sites in the next post. We look forward to seeing everyone today!

School may be out in a few weeks, but healthy meals are still in! Our School Nutrition Program is proud to offer FREE meals for children 18 years and younger again this summer.

All children 18 and under are welcome! This year we are asking parents to complete an interest form that will assist us in planning and verifying program details.

Today we celebrate the retirement of the School Nutrition Manager at Oliver Springs Academy, Lynn Bowling, after 18 years of dedicated service.

For nearly two decades, Lynn has been an important part of the Oliver Springs community, working tirelessly to ensure students were cared for each day with warm meals, kindness, and a welcoming smile. Her commitment, compassion, and delicious food have made a lasting impact on countless students, staff, and families throughout the years.

Please join us in thanking Lynn for 18 outstanding years of service and wishing her a happy and well-deserved retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures. Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for everything you have done for the students in Oliver Springs! ❤️

Roane County High schools enjoyed an exciting lunch today as students got the opportunity to try one of our newest entrée' selections, created just for high school students. The featured dish was kielbasa and dirty rice seasoned with Cajun spices. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with a strong vote to keep this items on the menu.

Feeling extra grateful today for our amazing cafeteria staff who put so much care into preparing a delicious Thanksgiving meal for everyone. Your hard work, kindness, and dedication don’t go unnoticed. Thank you for making our community feel like family. Thank you to everyone that celebrated with us today!🧡🍂 🦃
