It’s hard to imagine our school without our amazing superstar secretary, Stephanie! 💙💛

As we head into summer, we also have to say goodbye to someone who has been such an important part of our Blue Grass family. Her kindness, patience, organization, and constant support have meant so much to our students, staff, and parents over the years.

She has been the smiling face that welcomed us, the calm voice during busy days, and the heart behind so much that keeps our school running smoothly. While we are so sad she won’t be returning next school year, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our community.

Please join the PTO in wishing Stephanie all the best in her next chapter. We will miss her more than words can say, and we hope she knows just how loved and appreciated she truly is.

Last Friday was a day full of celebration, memories, laughter, and a few happy tears as we honored our incredible 5th graders at Blue Grass Elementary 💙💛

To the BGE Class of 2026 — congratulations! We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see all you accomplish in middle school and beyond. Your futures are so bright, and we know this is only the beginning of amazing things ahead.

We’ll see y’all back in 2033 for your Senior Stroll 🎓

The day began with one of our favorite traditions — the 5th Grade Walk Out around the track — with students surrounded by cheering families, friends, teachers, and staff. Each student was gifted a West Valley t-shirt as a special sendoff to their next chapter.

Congratulations to all of our awards winners as well — it was so special seeing everyone’s hard work, growth, leadership, and accomplishments recognized.

The PTO was honored to provide a Chick-fil-A luncheon followed by a full afternoon celebration for the entire grade!

The party included:
⭐️ 3 inflatables for nonstop fun
🍿 A popcorn station
✍️ A BGE Class of 2026 pennant signing station
💦 Hours of water (and muddy!) fun thanks to Rural Metro Fire - Knox County
🎶 Music and great energy from DJ Sterl The Pearl
🍧 Italian ice for every single 5th grader generously donated by Jeremiah’s Italian Ice - West Knox

A huge thank you to our students, staff, teachers, families, volunteers, and community partners for helping make this day so special. Our community loves BIG, and we were beyond excited to help plan and celebrate such an important milestone for these students. And now.... Fly Eagles FLY!
