Hello, beautiful people! We are busy collaborating and getting our ducks in a row and we need your help.

We are looking for a space to lease/rent for our school. We are looking for a place that has at least 5 classrooms and an outdoor space in the following areas: Alcoa, South Knoxville, Seymour, Louisville. If you know of any churches, community centers, or warehouses that may fit the bill, please let us know!

Thank you much! 🙏☺️

📣Attention everyone! Exciting news from Guiding Lights! We're thrilled to announce that we have partnered with some amazing new people and will be restructuring our program. We will be taking a hiatus for the 23/24 school year to build this new vision. We will be reopening the following school year as a Waldorf-inspired hybrid homeschool that caters to grades Pre-K through high school.

But we need your help! Guiding Lights is a nonprofit organization and we are currently looking for land to purchase or lease so we can make this new paradigm in schooling a reality. We believe that this new approach to education will provide our children with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-changing society.

If you share our vision and want to help make this happen, we need your support. Please consider donating to our cause or spreading the word to your community. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children. Let's make it happen!

At Guiding Lights we make an effort to hang out OUTSIDE of school too! Over the past few weeks we’ve gone to the Aviation Museum in Sevierville, the Medieval Faire in Harriman, TN (both related to our unit studies), and our last field trip was to Urban Air.

Our goal is to “do life” together as much as we can. If you are looking for a new tribe of diverse, creative, kind people, we are your people. 💕

Send us a message if you’d like to learn more about our program and how to get signed up for next year!

-Ashley

I want to give a big shout out of thanks to DICK'S Sporting Goods, Casey Beaman, and Kaite Dent for donating these amazing gifts to us. Soccer balls, basketballs, football… we have been having so much fun playing with those this week. Your contribution means so much to us and we are so grateful! 🙏 😊

Did you know that any donations you make to our school are tax deductible? Yep!! We are looking for some angel investors or any donations we can acquire to help us expand next year! We are looking for land or to even purchase a commercial property for the school. We are looking in Knox County and it needs to have some sort of water on it (stream, creek, etc.) If you align with our holistic, heart-centered model of education, please consider donating to us so that we may continue to spread the love!

Today, Amanda and I met up with Kaysee Collins, owner of Alchemy of Maryville, who so generously donated 20 new yoga mats to our school. We are so thankful for your gift and to have connected with someone who is doing big, beautiful things in the world. Thank you!!
