5th Place in the National Trial Advocacy Competition! ✨ Being on the Mock Trial Travel Team with this crew has been one of the best experiences I could have ever hoped for! even won the award for Best Closing in our trial against HARVARD! She’s a rock star and I’m so proud of her! and killed it and their efforts literally gave me goosebumps during the competition. ❤️

We’ve put in so many long hours and late nights and all the prep paid off! Our Coach, Adam Russell, is a gem for putting up with us and for making sure we were the best advocates we could be!

*I’ll also never not think of these awesome people and an Uber ride to remember when I hear Party Rock 🎶

Today, I was all smiles for my LAST first-day-of-school EVER! ✨

Law school is *probably my last time in higher education, though I jokingly tell my retirement plan involves getting a PhD. 🤣

There are a lot of emotions bubbling to the surface today with the realization that I’m almost done with this beautiful, chaotic, fun, and empowering journey that is law school. This processes has tested me, refined me, and made me sharper in so many ways. I’m looking forward to this last chapter and I can’t wait to see how much more I grow in the next 9 months.

All the candidates for .law.sba began campaigning today, and that means my race for the presidency started, too.

Coming into law school as a non-traditional student, my goal was to find my tribe and have some sort of community so that I could enjoy this experience as much as any “traditional” student would. With that desire in mind, I decided to run for a 1L Senator seat… and the rest has been history.

After repping for the 1L class and learning a lot along the way from great mentors ( I see you) I decided to run for SBA Treasurer for this 2L year. I ran unopposed and it’s meant a lot to me to take on new challenges and work together with new members that will be friends for life! (Literally the whole crew! ✨)

This year, I was Chair of the Event Planning Committee and our current President, trusted me to run with the assignment! She knows I like to have a good time! So, if you’ve been to an event like Family Day, the Halloween Party, BARRISTERS BALL 😜, or a Bar Review, to name a few, I’ve planned, organized, and delegated it. While it takes a fantastic team to make these things happen, it was my name on the line if they failed, and I took those new responsibilities seriously.

I have loved being on SBA and working to make this wild law school experience inclusive and fun for everyone for the past two years. I hope you all trust in my experience, have been the recipients of my efforts to leave a positive mark on our law school community, and know that I don’t take the job or responsibility lightly.

It would be my honor to work for you for the third year in a row and welcome a new class of students into the fold next year as the SBA President. ❤️🤞

This is a REAL one, right here. .a.blount has been my rock in (all) the storms, the yin to my yang in all the best ways, and she has always been one of my very favorite people among my very best of friends. She’s smart, warm, loving, feisty, brave, and strong. What a friend to have for all these years and many more to come!

Holy Cupcakes, Batman! Theä is 8!!

It’s hard to believe that our “baby” girl is 8 (going on 16). We had the best time celebrating her at her party yesterday!

Sometimes I look at her and just think, “Wow, she’s really growing up!” 😭 and I love her more than anything and we’re so stoked about the person she’s becoming. She’s hilarious, brilliant, sweet, brave, and a tad bit mischievous, too. 🤣
