We loved meeting so many new friends! 💫

Yesterday, at the FAR-OUT Conference Day at the Mojave Air & Space Port, we got the opportunity to showcase Big Liquid’s airframe, listen to a panel and presentations, and meet the other teams competing at FAR-OUT. It was an incredible experience talking about rocketry with so many talented engineers from all over the world who are just as passionate about aerospace as we are. Today, we’re continuing to get Big Liquid ready for launch this weekend! 🚀☀️🏜️

Congratulations to all of our members who secured internships this summer! 🌟💫🚀

This year, 23 club members accepted internships at 18 companies across the nation. With a diverse internship scope, their positions reflect the work they have pursued during the school year through the opportunities provided by the SSTA. We are excited to cheer them on as they build skills and careers this summer! 🚀👏🌟

Our Lunabotics team is at the University of Central Florida competing in NASA’s Lunabotics qualifying event. The top 10/40 of teams competing in the event will move onto finals at Kennedy Space Center. The rover will be competing to build a berm using Lunar regolith, where the team will score more points for building a larger berm, using a lighter rover, using less power, and using minimal human control. The team has seen promising results from the trial runs performed. They are excited to see how well their design will perform. Wish the Lunabotics team luck! 🌟💫🌖

Big Liquid Mk II - Dark Mode Edition 🌑💫

The SSTA has been having a great time test firing our beloved Big Liquid rocket over the past few weeks. Last week, we had the opportunity for a night fire, bringing us these celestial photos. Big Liquid is almost ready to compete at FAR-OUT this May and we’re excited to continue testing and building. We will release an official status update on the project in the coming weeks! 🌟🚀
