KCSC Difference Makers of the Month
We are excited to highlight the exceptional staff members who create a positive impact across our schools and throughout the entire school district. These dedicated team members consistently step up to serve our students, support their fellow colleagues, and strengthen our educational environment.
Each month, we aim to honor an outstanding staff member from every department, celebrating their dedication and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
Transportation: Connie Clemans
Over the last year, Connie has grown tremendously both personally and professionally. She has completely shed old beliefs about where the ceiling was for her career and no longer lets others define her potential. Now, Connie confidently stands up, asks bold questions, and is the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. She steps up to lead and truly embodies what being part of a team should look and feel like.
Custodial: Michelle Sullivan
Michelle dedicates herself to the corporation by being extremely flexible on last minute changes. She is willing to work over hours to ensure the buildings are properly taken care of in the event of a call off. Michelle also regularly receives a high amount of compliments about her cleaning and attention to detail.
She is always on top of her job and always here for the kids. She also makes her staff feel needed and appreciated. She goes above and beyond.
Food Service: Jenny Tibbs
She is consistently on top of her responsibilities and always puts the needs of our students first. She goes above and beyond to ensure that every student is cared for, including making sure students with special dietary needs have the appropriate food available to them.
She also does an outstanding job of making her staff feel valued, needed, and appreciated. Her dedication to both our students and staff is evident every day. She truly goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in our schools.
Knox Elementary School: Jenny Fletcher
We are thrilled to recognize Jenny Fletcher as the KCES Difference Maker of the Month for September!
Anyone who observes Jenny and her team in action throughout the building can quickly see why numerous colleagues put her name forward. She executes her duties with excellence while seamlessly balancing countless responsibilities simultaneously. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Jenny and her team for their unwavering dedication to supporting our learners and educational staff!
Knox Middle School: Sara Morgan
The KMS administration nominates Sara Morgan as our Difference Maker of the Month. Sara is an outstanding classroom teacher and leader among our faculty. She consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of the importance of building strong, trust-based relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Her ability to connect with others creates a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to succeed. Beyond her classroom, Sara goes above and beyond to support our school community. She plays a key role in helping KMS maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Her professionalism, dedication, and willingness to serve others makes her an invaluable member of our staff. Sara Morgan exemplifies what it means to be a KMS educator for students.
Knox High School: Jenny Tow
Jenny is a HUGE part of the success of KHS. From purchasing and making sure everyone has what they need, to helping students get their Chromebooks back up and running, to handing out band-aids and medicine, checking students in for the nurse, and so many other things, Jenny is constantly helping and supporting KHS.
Here is what one of her coworkers had to say:
“Jenny never turns anyone away when they need help, regardless of whether it technically falls within her job responsibilities. She comes to work each day with a smile on her face, a caring heart, and a willingness to take on whatever the day or week brings. She never makes anyone feel like they are bothering her. Even when she is trying to find a moment to eat her lunch, she will stop what she is doing to help someone in need.”
Central Office: Cory Masson
Mr. Masson has demonstrated leadership and the ability to rise to a challenge. He is consistently thinking ahead, looking for potential issues, and finding solutions. His organizational skills have led the elementary school to a great start of the school year. He has a great attitude and a winner’s mentality. The number of staff and community members that have stopped central office staff in passing or sent emails about how wonderfully he has adapted to being the head principal at KCES is a testament to his commitment to his building and the students it serves. Congratulations Mr. Masson!
