"WHAT THE F**K IS FORR?”
We spend a whole lot of time in the motorcycle community talking about clubs, colors, protocol, territory, respect, dominants, 1%ers, 99%ers and who controls what.
But let me ask you something…
Who the f**k is fighting for your right to actually RIDE?
Enter FORR
FORR isn’t an MC. They aren’t trying to control the set, become dominant, take anybody’s territory or tell you what patch you can wear. You can be a 1%er, 99%er, independent, weekend warrior or have absolutely nothing on your back…and FORR can still represent issues that affect YOU as a motorcyclist.
FORR is an acronym for Freedom of Road Riders. We are a very similar organization to ABATE. Today you’ll hear different versions of that name, depending on the organization or state, including “American Bikers Aimed Toward Education.” or “A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments”
But forget the letters for a minute…the mission is what matters.
FORR and other organizations have spent decades getting involved with motorcycle legislation, riders’ rights, motorcycle awareness, education and making sure politicians understand that motorcyclists have a voice.
Think about that.
We’ll pack 100 bikes deep to somebody’s annual.
We’ll ride three hours to support another club.
We’ll argue for two damn days on Facebook about whether somebody’s bottom rocker is correct.
But how many bikers know what legislation is being discussed in their own state that could potentially affect THEM?
That’s the part of motorcycle culture we don’t talk about enough.
Because protecting motorcycle culture isn’t always somebody standing at the clubhouse door with his arms crossed.
Sometimes it’s somebody wearing regular clothes standing inside a statehouse saying, “Hold up…have you actually talked to the people who RIDE?”
An MC represents its members and its colors.
FORR fights on issues affecting MOTORCYCLISTS.
Big difference.
You don’t have to agree with every position they take. You don’t even have to join. But if you’ve been riding motorcycles for years and screaming about “biker rights”…you should probably at least know who the people are that have been showing up and fighting for them.
Because everybody wants to yell “FREEDOM” when they’re sitting on a motorcycle…
The real question is…
WHO THE F**K IS ACTUALLY SHOWING UP TO PROTECT IT?

Here at FREEDOM OF ROAD RIDERS ®, we monitor the laws that help or hinder motorcyclists in the state of Missouri. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 1981, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded FORR ® on.
