Green Pines Baptist Preschool

Green Pines Baptist Preschool Offering a Christian-based, educational preschool curriculum for children ages 1 - 5.

At the preschool, each child is nurtured and taught in a safe, loving environment where learning is fun! In addition to providing a solid biblical and educational atmosphere for the children, the preschool also gives them an opportunity to participate in church-led mission projects including the Operation Christmas Child shoebox outreach and the GPBC Food Pantry. The GPBC preschool allows families

and teachers to bond together as they watch each child grow physically and spiritually through the different programs. The preschool is a ministry extension of the church, in hopes that we can bring others into the church family through this outreach. There is no greater reward than to see these families profess faith in Christ or join our congregation. For more information or to receive a tuition schedule, contact the Preschool Director, Kylie Honeycutt

Today in chapel, our preschoolers learned about "Jesus the Servant King" from The Storybook Bible. They discovered that true greatness comes from serving others with love—just like Jesus showed us!

Ask your child:
How can you be a helper like Jesus at home or school this week?

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for showing us how to love and serve others. Help us to be kind, helpful, and humble every day. Amen.

Today in Chapel, our preschoolers heard the story “Running Away” from The Jesus Storybook Bible (Luke 15).

Jesus told a story about a son who left home and made some wrong choices. When he had nothing left, he decided to go back and say he was sorry. When his father saw him coming, he ran to him, gave him a big hug, and celebrated!

🎉 This story reminds us that God loves us and is always ready to forgive and welcome us back.

💬 Ask your child:
• Why did the son come back home?
• What did the father do when he saw him?

Pray:
Dear God, thank You for loving us no matter what. Thank You for forgiving us and being so happy when we come to You. Help us to trust You and stay close to You. Amen. 💛

Today in Chapel, our preschoolers heard the story “The Man Who Didn’t Have Any Friends” from The Jesus Storybook Bible.

This story tells about Zacchaeus, a man who was not very kind and didn’t have any friends. When Jesus came to town, Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Him. Jesus stopped, called him by name, and chose to go to his house! Jesus’ love changed Zacchaeus’ heart, and he wanted to make right choices. This story reminds us that Jesus knows us, loves us, and can change our hearts.

💬 Ask your child:
• Why did Zacchaeus climb the tree?
• How did Jesus show love to Zacchaeus?

Our prayer for this week:
Dear Jesus, thank You for loving us no matter what. Thank You for knowing our names and helping our hearts grow kinder each day. Amen. 💛

Today in Chapel, our preschoolers heard the story “The Friend of Little Children” from The Jesus Storybook Bible, based on Matthew 19:14.

In this story, people were bringing children to see Jesus—but the disciples tried to send them away. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me!” He welcomed them with open arms and showed that children are very important in God’s Kingdom. What wonderful news for our little ones! 💛

💬 Ask your child:
• Why did Jesus want the children to come to Him?
• How does Jesus feel about children?

Our prayer for this week:
Dear Jesus, thank You for loving children so much. Thank You for welcoming us and calling us Your own. Help us come to You with happy, trusting hearts. Amen.

Today in Chapel, we heard the story “Filled Full!” about how Jesus fed more than 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. It didn’t seem like enough—but Jesus thanked God, shared the food, and everyone had plenty to eat, with leftovers! This story reminds us that Jesus takes care of us and can do amazing things.

💬 Ask your child:
• How many loaves and fish were there?
• What did Jesus do with the food?

🙏 A Short Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for caring about us and providing what we need. Help us to share what we have and to trust You to do amazing things. Amen.

This week in chapel our students heard the story “The Captain of the Storm” from the Children’s Storybook Bible. They watched in amazement as Jesus said, “Peace, be still!” and the storm stopped! 🌟

Ask your child at home:
💬 “Can you show me how the waves were crashing?”
💬 “What did Jesus say to the storm?”

Remind them that just like in the story, Jesus is with us even when things feel scary. 💙

This week in Chapel, our students read the story “How to Pray.” 💛
They learned that prayer is simply talking to God!

At home, you can encourage your child to pray by helping them have a conversation with God — sharing their worries, their hopes, and what they are thankful for. 🙏✨

We love seeing our little ones grow in faith each day!

This week in chapel, our preschool friends learned about Jairus’ daughter from Luke 8. When everyone thought all hope was lost, Jesus showed His great love and power by bringing her back to life.

We talked about how Jesus cares deeply for children and reminds us to trust Him, even when we feel scared or sad. What a joyful reminder that nothing is too big for Jesus!
