Our PTA has been hard at work with Coin Wars. The kids are definitely taking the war seriously. Today was double negative points, and there was a constant crowd gathered around the leaderboard, checking the scores and strategizing with their friends to see who to sabotage next. The excitement is palpable, and we can't wait to see which class will come out on top!

What a night! Last night, we welcomed nearly 1,000 people to our annual Hispanic Heritage Night!

We are so excited to see how much this event has grown. It was wonderful to see our Hodge families, staff, and community come together to celebrate the many cultures and traditions that make our school so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, participated, performed, volunteered, and helped make the night such a success. We’re already looking forward to making it even better next year!

WE DID IT, HODGE ROAD FAMILY! WE GOT THE C!

The numbers are in, and the hard work of our amazing students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families has officially paid off! We are thrilled to share that Hodge Road Spanish Dual Language Immersion Magnet Elementary is NO LONGER LOW PERFORMING!

Check out the receipts on our incredible progress this year:
🌟 Overall Grade: Up to a C (Performance Score: 59)
📈 Achievement Increase: Jumped 10 full points from 41.3% ➔ 51.3%
🚀 Growth Performance: An incredible 83.0% — WE EXCEEDED GROWTH!
📊 K–2 Literacy (NKT): Surged from 53.3% ➔ 70.6% (+17.3 pts)
📚 3–5 Reading Proficiency: Climbed from 40.9% ➔ 50.0% (+9.1 pts)

This level of growth doesn't happen by accident. It takes a community committed to excellence every single day. We saw the progress, we feel the pride, and we are just getting started!

¡Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! We are excited to celebrate the many cultures, countries, languages, and traditions that make our Hodge Road community so special.

Today we celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day! We want to wish all of our Hodge Road families with roots in Mexico a very happy Día de la Independencia!

One thing we love about our Hodge Road community is that our families represent so many different countries, cultures, and traditions. And a fun fact: not all Latin American Independence Days fall during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15–October 15)! Our cultures and histories are worth celebrating all year long.

Our 3rd graders had a chance to put their solid and liquids science knowledge to work with Mr. Rhoades! Students used ice, salt, and cream, then shook their bags until they had homemade ice cream.

There was lots of shaking, teamwork, and of course, some very happy taste testers! 🍨

We love seeing our Panthers get hands-on with their learning! 🐾
