3rd Grade Math teachers hosted a Parent Session on Nov. 6th. The session helped parents become more familiar with the current math concepts taught in 3rd grade. We hope parents left with strategies to help their children at home. Great turn out, 3rd grade!
This week's staff spotlight goes to a wonderful and dedicated kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bell! Mrs. Bell is known for having a smile while helping her students be successful!

Pre-K students in Mrs. Hill’s class are scientists and artists! Students went on a nature walk to collect leaves. Then students studied the leaves with magnifying glasses and drew what they saw. Finally, they enjoyed painting their masterpieces! Way to go, Pre-K!

Big Kahuna product & prize pick up is TODAY, November 4th from 4-6 PM. This is the ONLY day to pick up your orders, so please make arrangements to be there if you took orders! Just to clarify, there is no specific schedule or sign up for Big Kahuna pick up. Just be sure to come by between 4-6 PM.

Today we spotlight one of our most High Quality staff members! Our longest tenured bobcat and best librarian ever, Mrs. Camp! Thank you for all you do to care for Benfer bobcats and their journeys in being a lifelong reader!
Mrs. Musella’s bobcats celebrated a spooky Thursday by constructing their very own Frankenstein using their knowledge of character traits during reading workshop!
Benfer 2nd graders worked in STEM stations to practice math skills and discover how sound can cause vibration!
Don't forget to save the date for this Friday, November 1st is our Annual Book Character Parade! Students are invited to dress up as their favorite book character. Parents are invited to watch the parade in the cafeteria at 8:30 AM.
Please note! Students need to bring the book with their character costume. No scary costumes or weapons (even pretend) are allowed. Costumes must follow school dress code. Students can bring a change of clothes for after the parade if they would like.

We are already having so much fun with our Anti-Drug Week Dress Up days! Keep the fun going all week-
Tuesday: Wear bright colors because we are too bright to use drugs!
Wednesday: Wear CAMO because drugs can't find us!
Thursday: Dress as your anti-drug! Dress as your hobby or passion- music, sports, art, and more! (No Halloween costumes allowed.)
Friday: Book Character Parade! Dress as your favorite book character and bring the book to match!

Students in Mr. Griffin's 3rd grade class explore how force can affect the speed of a car during a science experiment! Students measured the distance traveled by their car and recorded the data.
