Ulrich Copy of KOL Family Letter_Return to KOC

Good Afternoon Amazing Bulldog Families,

On November 5, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released new guidance regarding virtual learning and how to support students who are unsuccessful in an online environment. This new guidance allows Klein ISD, with the best interests of our students, teachers, and school community in mind, to discontinue Klein Online for students who are failing academically. Campus administration will be in contact with families who have students who are not academically succeeding after the winter break to begin the process for the second semester.

Please see the attached letter for information on this process.

[11/30/20]   Bulldog Family,

Friday, December 4th is a teacher workday, granted by the district. Your students can either work from home that day or come to school.

Either way, the day will be spent doing self-paced work in Schoology (there will be no class-by -class Zooms held for anyone that day). Each teacher will host a single 45 minute “office-hours” Zoom at the end of their day to make sure students have a forum to ask questions or seek clarification. Most of these Zooms will occur between 3:25 and 4:15 PM, though a few will happen sooner due to half day work schedules. They are not required for students to attend but are offered as a courtesy.

If your student decides to come to school, they will be held for the day in the cafeteria and monitored by non-teaching staff. They will access the same activities as students working from home that day through Schoology, and they will be given the same access to the “Office Hours” Zoom at the end of the day.

For our staff to be utilize this time to the fullest, we are requesting that you allow your students to work from home on Friday, December 4th. Regardless, all busses will be running their normal routes to pick up students who wish to attend, and breakfast and lunch will be served.

[10/20/20]   Good day Amazing Bulldog Family!
We hope that each of you are doing well. Ulrich Klein On Campus students will be taking their Fall Pictures through their designated science classes on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
Our Klein Online learners are welcomed to come to Ulrich before school on the same day anytime from 7:30 am-8:30 am to take their pictures. We ask that the parents of KOL students drop their students off in the front driveway at the end (under the awning by the gyms) and allow them to run in quickly for their Fall photo. Upon completion, KOL learners will return to their cars.
Please help us make sure that your students are in dress code.
A picture order form will be sent to Klein on Campus learners on Tuesday. All parents, including those of Klein Online students can go to mylifetouch.com and enter the picture ID: EVTPHHP3H to order pictures in advance. We encourage parents to place their orders as soon as you can.
Have a great week!
