Our 3rd graders had an exciting real-world connection to our learning today! 🐾👮‍♂️

After reading our nonfiction article about Officer Alex and Bax, our students had the special opportunity to meet them in person! This experience brought our reading to life while connecting beautifully to our Social Studies learning about community and the people who help make our community a safe and caring place.

Our students loved asking questions, learning more about their important work, and seeing firsthand how community helpers serve others. What a memorable way to connect classroom learning to our own community! 💙📚
