We are working to come up with solutions, and looking for resident help.

I like chizzywinks most, what do you call them?
We have already seen these early this year. As always, our goal is to research and control, not to eradicate! They serve an important ecological purpose.
Looking forward to the 1st annual Midge Festival!

This photo was taken last year by a local man here in Klamath Falls, near upper Klamath Lake. What you see here is the adult stage of the midge meeting and breeding! They don't live long. The adult stage midges don't eat or bite - the nymph stage (which is aquatic) is the stage that feeds. And they were not introduced to control mosquitos.

Living in the Basin, you'll be familiar with these little green bugs. They're a nuisance, and we have learned to co-exist (they win) every year. It doesn't have to be that way! Klamath Midge Control is leading the way to reduce that green nuisance in the most economically friendly ways, encouraging tourism and quality of life in Klamath!
