Kenzie Wilkinson ’23, ’26 turned her passion for helping others into a career through Oregon Tech’s inaugural Doctor of Physical Therapy program. During her time at Oregon Tech, she was on the cross-country team, worked as a student instructor for anatomy and physiology class, earned the title of Miss Klamath County, married fellow alum Joe Wilkinson '23, and secured a job at Sky Lakes Medical Center as a Physical Therapist.

What a great evening connecting with Oregon Tech alumni in Bend!

A huge thank you to Brock Strunk '98 for hosting us and sharing his story—from his career journey to his vision for a new DIY motorcycle shop. One of our favorite moments was hearing how, more than 20 years after graduating, Brock solved a technical problem using skills he learned in an Oregon Tech lab while others had only studied the concept in a textbook.

It's a great reminder that hands-on learning lasts a lifetime.

Meet Brock Strunk ’98 — an Oregon Tech alumnus, aerospace engineer, and founder of Moto Collective Garage.

With more than two decades of experience in aerospace engineering, Brock serves as Chief Engineer at Epic Aircraft LLC, where he leads innovation in carbon fiber and composite structures. His career has spanned aircraft development, structural engineering, and advanced manufacturing with organizations including Epic Aircraft, Erickson Air-Crane, Spirit AeroSystems, and Adam Aircraft.

Brock’s passion for hands-on learning, engineering, and community inspired him to create Moto Collective Garage—a Central Oregon workshop space built around the same values that define Oregon Tech: innovation, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and learning by doing.

Brock is the host of our upcoming Bend Alumni Meet-Up on Wednesday, July 29 at 6 p.m. Come connect with fellow Owls, family, and friends, explore Moto Collective Garage, and see how one Oregon Tech alum is bringing our shared spirit of making and innovation to life.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Oregon Tech alumnus Rafael "Ralph" Santiago '10, a dedicated leader, proud Owl, army veteran, and steadfast supporter of both Oregon Tech and the Klamath Falls community.

Ralph's impact on Oregon Tech extended far beyond his time as a student. He generously volunteered his time and leadership, including serving as President of the Oregon Tech Alumni Association Board, where he helped strengthen alumni connections and advance the university he loved. His commitment to service, mentorship, and community left a lasting mark on countless lives.

A memorial service celebrating Ralph's life will be held Saturday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Oregon Institute of Technology, by the campus fountain. Please join if you are able as we gather to celebrate his life.

Those wishing to honor Ralph's legacy may make gifts to the Rafael Santiago '10 Memorial Scholarship or the Student Veterans Program at oit.edu/give, helping future Oregon Tech students pursue the same opportunities that meant so much to him.

Our thoughts are with Ralph's family, friends, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, generosity, and unwavering commitment to Oregon Tech will continue to inspire generations of Owls.
