After a solid run with a 28-minute build, and a good lateral load test, our bridge failed at a weld in the bottom chord. A sad way to end a great run. Failure is a good teacher though. Load path and weld quality will be top of mind for these students!

Who’s ready for some student steel bridge construction? Oregon Tech is building first this year!
