The mission of the Student Life Center (SLC) is to help students succeed in life and in school. We offer a variety of free snacks for students when they arrive.
The Student Life Center is a nonprofit ministry of the Baptist Church on Homedale in Klamath Falls that offers tutoring services free of cost to students grades 3-12. Our mentors and tutors encourage personal morality, critical thinking and scholastic excellence in students from the 3rd through the 12th grade. Summer is almost here! We want to give everyone a reminder that the last day of our School Year Program will be Wednesday, June 10th. Since the kiddos won’t have any work, we ask that parents pick up their children early, if possible. That way we can all start our summer fun! We also want to thank everyone for another wonderful school year!

Enrollment season is in full swing! Our 26-27 School Year applications are now available. You can pick one up in person during our normal operating hours, or you can fill one out online at the Baptist Church on Homedale website and email it to us. Spots fill up fast, so get your applications in now! We'll be making enrollment confirmation calls the week of August 24th.

It's that time of year again! Enrollment for our Summer Program is open. Applications are available to grab in person during our normal hours, or on the Baptist Church on Homedale website. For our newer followers, here's a look at what our summers are like:
Students are offered lunch when they arrive before heading into their groups. Each age group has an hour window where they do cooking or science, depending on the day. Cooking class gives them the chance to learn about the science behind making different dishes, how to make food from scratch, and kitchen safety. Science class typically spends a couple of weeks learning about the solar system or Earth, and another couple of weeks learning about different animals. In their regular classrooms, we focus on learning in a more fun and hands-on way. The older groups will learn life skills as well, such as budgeting. The younger groups focus more on reading and math retention to make the transition back into school easier. During Game Room, we spend lots of time outside in the water! We set up small pools or sprinklers for the kids, in addition to our playground. Because we often do water activities, we ask that you send kiddos with clothes they can get wet, a towel, and their own sunscreen if they have more sensitive skin.

Reminder to our parents & guardians that we will be closed tomorrow, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Days. We'll be open again on Wednesday November 12th. We also want to say thank you to all of the men and women who have served to protect us!
