It is our hope to provide a home-like environment where your children feel safe and loved while learning and growing. It is our intention as your child care to offer a safe, friendly, positive, and fun environment for learning, growing, and being a kid. We have a monthly themed age-appropriate curriculum that is sensory and play-based with academic eleme

nts. No child is ever forced to participate in any activity but is strongly encouraged to join in the fun. Most of our time (averaged throughout the year) is spent indoors; I will provide age-appropriate toys, activities and games for free play. It is important to us that the children in our care experience a fun, home like environment and are treated as if our home is their home. The children in our care grow to become more like family than child care. We welcome children from all walks of life and cultures. Our program is considered inclusive and we work closely with Inclusive Partners of Oregon to ensure that our program will assist, be positive and include all children with disabilities; physical and developmental. We are accepting of foster children and their families as we know this transition can be challenging. We firmly believe that all children; no matter their life and family circumstances, developmental delays or physical limitations; deserve the opportunity to learn and grow at their own pace. We strongly believe in teaching and allowing children to do things on their own; working to create independence and confidence. As professionals, our providers and staff are always seeking professional development and continuing education. We focus these courses not only on our needs but also needs of our families and children that we provide care for. At Little Swans Child Care, we work very closely with Inclusive Partners to ensure that are program is inclusive for the children in our care that need special services. We follow through with Inclusive Partners, IFSP’s, IEP’s, Early Intervention and ABA recommendations to the best of our abilities. We offer many sensory calming aspects to our program. We have quiet dark rooms available to children that are in a sensory overload situation. We offer a sensory swing that is a safe location for children needing it. We also have several other sensory items that are available. We are always developing our sensory care and evolving it to fit the children in our program. While our program would be willing to work with any one that is needing an inclusive program, we have the most experience with Speech Delays, Sensory Processing Disorder and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Preschool Openings Available

Little Swans Child Care currently has VERY limited preschool openings (Children 3 years to 5 years) available during the daytime hours:

🕣 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
📅 Enrollment available through May 31, 2026

Our program is intentionally designed to support the whole child and offers:
• A Master Chef on staff providing nutritious meals
• Behavioral therapy support and development of independent life skills
• Extensive child development training and certifications
• Trauma-informed care
• All supplies provided

We provide a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where children are supported, skilled, and seen.

Important Update:
2026 Tuition Rates 💜

To continue providing the incredible level of support, consistency, and love our families know us for, Little Swans Child Care will be adjusting our rates effective January 1, 2026.

This adjustment also reflects a larger statewide change: Oregon’s ERDC rate increases for 2026 help close the long-standing gap between rural areas and metro areas. Providers and our Union Bargaining Team worked extremely hard advocating for these increases so that child care businesses can remain sustainable because when rates stay too low, providers are forced to close, and our community loses care options.

This change helps us sustain the quality of care we’re committed to, including well-trained staff support, safe and enriching materials, and the individualized attention our kids deserve.

If this increase creates any hardship for your family, please reach out. We never want finances to be the reason a child loses stable care. We may have discounts, payment options, or flexible solutions available depending on your situation, and all conversations are private.
