Martial arts isn't a seasonal sport, it is a lifestyle and people who study the arts for years come to realize the mental and physical health benefits. It takes years to earn various belt ranks and the hope we instructors have is that we have instilled enough discipline or drive to continue a healthy lifestyle if students leave their home studio at whatever rank the student has achieved. When kids start young, as life circumstances happen, they often end up moving with their parents. All that being said we had a fun goodbye party for Jarreian Van Diene a 3rd stripe red belt who has been with us since 2018. He is moving to the coast with his family. He will be back to visit here and there but will be greatly missed by his fellow students and instructors.

Super proud of our weapons instructor Buzz for getting out there at Scott Halseys Tournament with a broken toe and doing an awesome form at the end of the day when most people left, he may have been last to go but 2nd in the black belt weapons division!

We are super proud of all the students who went and participated in Scott Halseys winter tournament in Redding this past weekend. Everyone represented our studio very well. Congratulations everyone for getting out there on the floor in front of your peers, instructors and a lot of spectators! As usual a pizza 🍕 stop before coming home is important too🥷🐢

After a brief hiatus, the Studio had, as usual, an excellent water gun crazy battling boat trip down the Rogue River with Raft Rite out of Shady Cove. We had 50 some people affiliated with the studio go down, a ton of first timers. Mr Finnianous managed the whole rowdy lot for the first time without Mrs Finnianous or Mrs Aguirre due to their prior commitments. He said there wasn't much whining considering how many newbies he had along, and as usual people fell out and had to get back in, and figure it out...always an adventure! And food at Miguel's afterwards was super on point too this year, they were happy to have us! We have been doing this trip for over 28 years🤪🏴‍☠️💙🏴‍☠️🩵👍🏽🏴‍☠️

Sometimes it pays greatly to finally be able to update our website and FB with a more permanent address. A sight for sore eyes and Best Man from Vince and my wedding-- blast from the past❣️ A sighting or even news of which hasn't happened in 22-23 years! One of our 1st generation awesome black belts Mr. Jamie Long found himself in Klamath Falls for a family graduation and stopped by to say Hi and a long lost hug with Mr. Finnianous. Mrs. Aguirre (Mr. Long was a fellow peer student of hers) and I were very very bummed to have not been there and missed him!

A GIANT THANK YOU to everybody who volunteered pitched-in and helped us move the studio to its new location over the past couple of days. Loads of enthusiastic help, makes everything go smoother! Enough mats are down and the mirrors are up for class on Monday! We will be continuing to work on organizing the chaos in the next couple of weeks. Thank you everybody🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Hang in there...We are moving again! A spot finally became available in the type and size of space we've been looking for since our selling commercial street building! If you're around on Saturday any help is appreciated! We will be moving out of the YMCA at Fairview Saturday and Sunday and into Building #28 at Southtowne Business Center, 2795 Anderson Ave, Klamath Falls. It is across the road from Frontier Trailers, near Mountain Valley Gardens if you don't have map app access. The spot is all the way in the back of the business complex, double roll up door section. If you have questions please call Mr. Finnianous direct at 541-892-2797.

Sorry, this is a belated Halloween/moving post, while we’ve been busy moving I was remiss in posting Mr Finnianous’ pics from the Halloween party, which was held at the now former Century Court location ! It was a blast and good times were had. This Century Court location was great, the space was amazing and will be missed and a lot of fun was had. The county decided to rent the whole building for whatever they are doing, so as we were on a month to month lease, we had to move out in a hurry. The YMCA was amazing in stepping up to give us the little bit of space they could-so we went from @2500 sf to 950 sf. So while we look for a new more permanent location, with appropriate space we will be located on the stage space at the YMCA’s old Fairview School location. The pics are from the century court location.
