As some of you may or may not know, we unexpectedly lost a student just before the start of this term. Casey Bradley was a very special young woman and is missed immensely. She was involved in all aspects of CSET life and was especially active in helping students.

Casey’s family is setting up a scholarship to honor Casey’s memory. If you wish to contribute Casey’s legacy of helping CSET students, consider donating to the scholarship fund. To make an even bigger impact, donate early on April 19, Give a Hoot Day, to take advantage of matching funds. More details will be coming soon.

Hey everyone! Just a reminder about the Portland CSET alumni event on November 20th. Todd Breedlove and Troy Scevers hope everyone realizes that we want to see you all. We have no expectations of donations whatsoever! Just come, hang out, and enjoy an afternoon of socializing with old friends and family. Please complete the form found on this site so we can make sure we have enough food, wine and beer.

To all Portland (or nearby) alumni, we are going to have an alumni reunion on November 20 @ noon. Todd Breedlove, Troy Scevers, and Phong Nguyen will be there. Please come, hangout and visit! We would love to see you there. Please pass it along to any other alumni you might know.

CSET Reunion Join the Computer Systems Engineering Technology (CSET) department for a casual reunion to gather, relax, and reconnect with Oregon Tech alumni, faculty, and staff!

For those of you who were thinking of donating to Oregon Tech, there is a matching opportunity coming up on December 1 starting at 12:01 am. The first $25,000 will be matched 1:1 up to $1000 per donation and be designated to the same activities and initiatives at Oregon Tech that you desire to support.

Besides the general CSET fund, our department is raising funds for two scholarships as well: Don Metzler Memorial Scholarship and the Jim Long Memorial Scholarship. These men played a huge part of making our department what it is; a family.

I plan to stay up way past my bedtime to make the most of my donation!

This event is free to attend, although we do hope alumni will consider making a donation of any size to the CSET department fund.
