Montessori is built on intrinsic motivation. Children in a Montessori school have freedom within limits to explore as they wish. The end result is students who are driven by the love to learn. This year’s senior, Katie Bellamy has been with Heron Pond Montessori since preschool. Not only has she worked hard to graduate a full year early, but she is now also a graduate of College of the Albemarle with an Associates degree in Health and Fitness Science. She has decided to pursue Kinesiology at College of Charleston. We are so incredibly proud of all her achievements and can’t wait to celebrate her some more at Heron Pond Montessori’s End of Year program/ 30th Anniversary Celebration on May 28th!
