Focused Training and Technical Services (FTTS) is proud to announce the acquisition of the assets of Industrial Resources, Incorporated (IRI). Started in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1986, IRI specialized in power plant generation training, providing services to many utilities and universities. IRI provided modules and courses related to plant systems and chillers just to name a few areas of expertise. The acquisition is expected to enhance FTTS offerings and strengthen our workforce development training services to our clients.

At MRLLC, we conduct Power Plant Fundamental training and also do a preparation course for the federally mandated ASME QRO Certification Licensing Program for a north eastern Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Combustor. Essentially a co-generator where the power they generate supplies their own site power and the excess load is supplied to the east coast grid. Their extra load sale is guaranteed by law.

It’s the perfect EPA recommended municipal solid waste scenario of source reduction (burn bulky waste and turn it to ash) and reuse (recycling). The revenues are tri-fold …. They get paid for collected trash, the excess electric power they produce, and the recyclables they collect.
